Inspired by VDT CD
A thought came to me today. Will there be an Inspired by The Voyage of the Dawn Treader music CD?
As far as I know, one hasn't been announced, but that shouldn't stop us from speculating and dreaming.
Personally, I'd like to hear more Narnia songs from Nichole Nordeman and Steven Curtis Chapman.
Who would you like to hear music by?

As they didn't release one for Prince Caspian, I don't think they'll do it for Voyage either, but as you said; that doesn't "stop us from speculating and dreaming."

I would be so happy if they had another Inspired Narnia CD! TobyMac and Tenth Avenue North would top my list of artist I would like on the CD!

I'd like Loreena McKennit to do a song about the story Lucy reads in the magician's house, and Enya to do one about the edge of the world.
Might as well be specific while I'm dreaming, right?

^those would be cool. I would love if Relient K got to do a song. They deserve a chance b/c they wrote two songs for the LWW Inspired By and didn't get picked. I also think Skillet, Leeland, and Deas Vail songs would be cool too.

Re: Inspired by VDT CD
That would be a fantastic idea if there was a cd full of music only based on VDT.
But the first Music inspired CD was not only based on the first movie but on all the stories in the chronicles.

I have the Inspired By CD for the first one and it had some really good songs and artists on it. I doubt there would be one for VDT though because they didn't end up making one for PC.

How do you mean? I thought all of the songs on the first CD accurately describe scenes from LWW. With the exception of Chris Tomlin’s song, I’m not sure how you could construe any of the songs to be from the other chronicles. But I'm eager to hear!

Re: Inspired by VDT CD
If you watch some of the interviews of the artists some of them will say that they got inspired by some of the other stories while writing the songs Movie Aristotle.
Anyways I still don't see why not considering PC isn't really a favorite out of the Chronicles LWW, VDT, HHB and LB are all the very popular amongst a lot of readers. VDT is probably the second top favorite amongst people so I wouldn't doubt it if it makes an inspired CD.

Phil Wickham has a song out that he based off of Dawn Treader called 'Sailing on a Ship'.

Re: Inspired by VDT CD
Even if they don't do a whole cd, there's bound to be songs by artists at the end of the soundtrack just like last time.
I'd vote for Remedy Drive myself or Tenth Avenue North out of Christian artists. On the secular side of things, my top pick would be Mumford & Sons, but I seriously doubt that would happen - they're just far too new in the states. Loreena McKennit would be quite nice.

I have always wanted the LWW cd but never got it. I hope there is a VotDT one so I can buy it!

Re: Inspired by VDT CD
I would dream of such a CD, but don't think there will be one. Though admittedly, there's more hope than for PC. PC was targeted at a more secular audience, so releasing a CD with Christian music just wouldn't fit. VoDT, however, is turning back to the Christian-oriented advertising, so it would stand a greater chance...
That being said, I still don't think there's going to be one.
If there were, I'd hope for Tenth Avenue North, Skillet, Kutless, and Brandon Heath to have tracks on there.

Re: Inspired by VDT CD
I think it would be somewhat interesting if Owl City was on it.
Like the majority of people in this thread, I'd vote for Tenth Avenue North as well, most definitely. I'd love it if Relient K got a chance too. Or there's tobyMac, Stellar Kart, Britt Nicole, Kutless, and Brandon Heath (sorry, I kind of copied your choices, ChristProclamer. ) I'd be happy if any of those artists did a song... IF there was a CD. I actually would be happy if any Christian artist got to do a song, because I like pretty much all of the Christian artists right now, some more than others.
