Invercargill, the southernmost city of New Zealand. (I looked on Wikipedia, and it told me the origin of the name:
Inbhir – Scottish Gaelic for river's mouth and William Cargill

Lampedusa, Italy. The largest of the Italian Pelagic Islands, it is in the southernmost part of Italy, nearer to Tunisa, in Africa, than either Mainland Italy, itself, or even the island of Sicily.
