SnowAngel: Those are some really neat cupcakes! :) They look very pretty, and very yummy! That is a good idea about the M&M's! Thanks for the suggestion; I'll try it sometime! :D

Kewl thread! Makes me ravenously hungry. ;))

I'm not too much of a cook; I'm more of a soup person. I specialize in chicken noodle soup and something I call Ratatouille soup, which is really a very yummy veggie minestrone. Just look below...

It has a diced tomato broth, with zucchini, summer squash, beans and macaroni noodles added. It is SO yummy. You can find the recipe here.

One of my younger sisters is into cake making and decorating. She makes a mean ice-cream cake and likes to frost with Cool-Whip, since she hates frosting. ;) The examples I'm going to post below are rare in that she actually uses frosting; I guess one can't do very good color decorating with Cool-Whip, lol!

^^ This is one of the ones without frosting.

Does anyone have an ideas as to what I should make for a tea party I'm hosting next weekend? I'm at a complete loss :(

Oh my goodness this thread makes me so hungry.

I made some chocolate cheese cup cakes and they turned out really well.

briofthesilversea: have you considered cheese cake and scones? Those both seem very tea party-ish to me.
you can have jam and whipped cream for the scones.

You could make miniature quiche? I'll have to dig up the recipe...but they're made in muffin tins and are delish!

I love cooking! I like making things the hard way (home made).
Baking bread is my favorite thing to do. I also enjoy baking (cakes and cookies and pies OH My, Yum!). :p ;)

I had a very strong craving for pesto on friday.....but the only basil I had was dried, and that would not work at all. :-o

I really like making peanut butter pies.... I don't have any pictures but I use an oreo crust and drizzle melted chocolate all over the top, so when it hardens it tastes like a reeses.

i also enjoy making smoothies....its an easy and yummy snack, and all I need is yoghurt and frozen bananas.

Now I'm really hungry.....time to go get some hot chocolate!

Thanks for your ideas, everyone! I think I have all of my foods planned out now. Mini muffins, cucumber sandwiches, some cookies, and little lunch meat sandwiches. :)

Horse_Lover, that is a super-huge cake you've got there! How long did it take you to put together?

Hi! Does anyone have a fast and easy cookie recipe? I am planning on making some for my girls bible study on Saturday and I have no idea what to make! :-\

Rachel111, just the basic chocolate chip cookie recipe would be pretty fast and easy. :) It's probably in most any cookbook or you can find it online, I'm sure (Allrecipes.com has it and tons of variations, for example).
Also, if you're interested, there's one I really like that is pretty much a cake mix, cream cheese, and butter (maybe vanilla and egg, too). Very easy and pretty fast (it might have to chill for an hour before baking, but I can't quite recall). ;)) If that sounds like what you're looking for, I can put it up. :)
