So right now Jill is looking like this:
golden hair/light brown, hazel eyes, natural wavy hair, no curls, between the ages of 12 and 20 ( as long as she looks like 15/16 ) and a very good actress.

That sound about right. I think if they cast her with this look then the audience should be amazed. But really do we have a say in who they cast as Jill?

I'd imagine we'd have a little as Narnia's fans, but not much....

Somebody in NW's comments page said Eliza Bennet might be a good choice. She doesn't have wavy hair, but she's blonde (which I think is refreshing: no brown at all like Will M and Georgie and Susan and Skander, just blonde) and there's something about her face I like. I don't know. She's been in Inkheart as a main character, so you could see she can act. For most of the movie there's something stubborn in her face. Jill-ish.

What do you all think? I'm not sure, beacause she might be a little too well known...?

Somebody suggessted Dakota Blue Richards. I like her, but I'm afraid that people will assossiate Narnia with the Golden Compass if she's cast as Jill.

She´s really pretty! But my opinion: a bit to old looking, I looked at her, and I thought she was 25/26 or something! And she´s only 18/19!

I too think she looks too old to play Jill but her eyes are very Jill-ish!

To get back to the question of open casting call vs. professional actresses only, I personally think that they should have an open call. There are a lot of people who have no acting experience that are willing to commit to acting and put in the long hours of hard work. I would love to play Jill myself. I have wavy golden hair, blue eyes (I know, not the right colour, but still), and I'm sixteen, though I look about seventeen. I'm from America, but I can do a perfect British accent (I'm not trying to sound haughty, don't get me wrong. I've just been practicing since I was about ten). I have school acting experience, but mostly I practice at home. I sincerely hope they have an open call, because I would love to audition.

Yes, I really hope they do open auditions! :ymapplause:

So how do you picture Jill,, Wonderful_Jill_Pole0318? I mean, if it isn't you, what have you always pictured? And how does Jill act, what's her character? Chemistry with Eustace (I mean how they get along, not hinting at a Eustace + Jill romance BTW ;)) )

What does Jill look like to you?

Postby Lucy of Narnia » Jan 12, 2011 5:15 pm

Well I'm not sure if the mods are okay with this or not but I thought it would be cool if we could see how fellow NarnaWebbers picture this iconic young lady!

Please pick only one hair color, one hair feature and one eye color. :) Some have been grouped together do to having only 10 possible poll options, so please explain. And if other, please explain. :)

This is hard but I'd have to say brunette, though maybe dirty blond. And curly hair (*edit* I meant wavy!). And blue eyes. I think I may be picturing JillPoleFan565, as I'd usually have said hazel or brown, probably. :)

Well, what do you think?

IDK, but I always thought that jill was like this, and I hope she looks like this:
Hair: Golden Blond
Eyes: Green/Hazel
Type of hair: wavy
Age: 12 - 18
Age look: 15/16

Even me, I would love to auditon as Jill. I also have golden blond hair, greenish hazel eyes, wavy hair, I´m 13 but I look like someone like 16, because of my height, and face. Still, I´m shorter than Will P.
