I had a quick query that may have been touched upon somewhere in the books, but I cannot recall if it was. In The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, we find out that Ramandu's Daughter is half-star (her father is, but she is not). She then marries Prince Caspian and has a son, Rilian. Would Rilian be then a quarter-star? Would that have affected him in any way or made him different from others? Would it even have have factored into why the Lady of the Greek Kirtle's spell worked so well on him? I don't know; this is all just my speculation at this point!

Do we know for sure that Ramandu's Daughter is a half star and not a whole star?

I think Lewis makes this distinction when he introduces Ramandu. Lewis notes that instead of carrying a light like his daughter, light came from Ramandu himself, seeming to indicate that Ramandu is a full-blooded star, but his daughter is not.

Even if Ramandu's daughter is a whole star, Rilian would still be partly star, and I would be curious what effect (if any) that had upon him.

It would be interesting if maybe his star-blood might have made him immune to the fires of Bism, allowing him to explore that world unharmed like he wanted to do. (Weird how even though Jill and Puddleglum gave plenty of reasons for not going down there, getting vaporized by the excessive heat wasn't one of them. )

I can imagine that having star's blood might make being trapped underground, so far away from the heavens, even more agonizing. It also might have something to do with why the LotGK killed his mother and lured him away. She may have hated the Queen for her luminous, celestial ancestry when she herself is a slithering, sunken creature of darkness, while also desiring to possess Rilian because he had qualities she lacked (opposites attract). I've never really thought about this particular juxtaposition before, but it's interesting.

And while on the topic of Rilian's heritage... I wonder if Ramandu's wife might have been one of the Sea People that live so near to the edge of the world? (I'm reminded of legends about selkies, returning to the sea and leaving children behind.)
