General question about Narnia (2)

Postby coracle » Jul 07, 2019 1:18 pm

[This is the second of kidSpain's questions]

Maybe these are silly questions but I would like to ask two things about Narnia:

- Why don´t Susan and Peter come back to Narnia when they become old? Why can´t an adult or teenager come back to Narnia?
“Not all of us can choose what we give up. The things we love are taken or are never ours at all. If we’re lucky, life is defined not by what we let go, but what we let in: friendship and kind words, frailty and hope.”

Well, I think Aslan mentions that the older kids were supposed to grow closer to their own world, using the wisdom they had learned in Narnia in their everyday lives. I don't think they had outgrown Narnia exactly; they were simply better equipped to understand their own world.
Also, the older kids do make it back eventually- after death, they come to the New Narnia, in Aslan's country. The learning period was over; they had practiced in their world what they had learned in Narnia, and now, as Aslan put it, "The holidays had begun."
