What Did Ramandu's Daughter Try to Say?

I was just listening to The Silver Chair audio drama and I noticed something. When the owls are telling Eustace and Jill about how the prince dissapeared, the old owl telling the story says:

As long as the life was in her (meaning the Queen, Ramandu's daughter), she seemed to be trying to tell him (meaning Prince Rilian) something. But she couldn't speak clearly and whatever her message was, she died without delivering it.

I wonder what Ramandu's daughter was trying to tell him. I think it might have had something to do with the serpent. Perhaps the serpent changed into the Lady of the Green Kirtle when she stung the Queen and then changed into the serpent when she slid away and the Queen was trying to tell Rilian that. It's not a super important part of the story but it is interesting that Lewis put that in yet there's nothing about it later in the story. Why did Lewis put that in?

I'd love to hear everyone's opinion on this.

I believe that Ramda knew, somehow, that the serpent was really a Witch. (Perhaps her star's blood helped her have an intuition of some sort.) I always thought that she was trying to warn Rilian, "Don't pursue the serpent."

I thought RD might just be trying to tell Rilian that she loved him, but now it does seem probable that it was something about the serpent.

maybe RD was trying to say that she had gotten poisoned and died before she could say it.....

Well, they knew she had been poisoned because they saw the serpent gliding away.

I think she was trying to tell him about the LOTGK turning into a serpent and killing her, to beware...

I always assumed it was something to do with the LOTGK, that RD somehow knew that, like Lady Galadriel said, Rillian should not pursue the serpent.

I'm going to have to agree with Lucy P. A mother's dying words wouldn't be about revenge or her murderer. It would have been expressing departing love.

She could have been trying to warn him, but i think that being that she was his mother, she would be telling him that she loved him

Hmmm... I've always wondered about this too...

I believe that she appeared to RD as her human form, then turned into a serpent as she bit and poisoned her. Then RD tried to maybe tell Rilian that she loved him, and that the serpent was really a woman/witch.

But then of course, we don't know much, and the LotGK could have spoken to RD before she bit her for all we know!
