As long as the life was in her (meaning the Queen, Ramandu's daughter), she seemed to be trying to tell him (meaning Prince Rilian) something. But she couldn't speak clearly and whatever her message was, she died without delivering it.

I wonder what Ramandu's daughter was trying to tell him. I think it might have had something to do with the serpent. Perhaps the serpent changed into the Lady of the Green Kirtle when she stung the Queen and then changed into the serpent when she slid away and the Queen was trying to tell Rilian that. It's not a super important part of the story but it is interesting that Lewis put that in yet there's nothing about it later in the story. Why did Lewis put that in?
