Here are a couple more interesting looking books (maybe) that are coming out surrounding VDT's movie release....

Through the Wardrobe: Your Favorite Authors on C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia

The Lion, the Professor and the Movies: Bringing Narnia to the Big Screen

The first one especially looks like a real winner. It covers topics like 'Why Edmund Pevensie is totally crush-worthy'. Right. I'll just run out and get that as soon as it comes out shall I? :P :))

Oh spare me ;)). Nice, subtle putdowns of Narnia's "religious symbolism" in that first title! I'll be right behind you as you dash out to get it, FK :P

And the first one is different than this how, exactly? :-\

Uh, besides the mysterious blue cover and lack of information in general, that is...

*is tempted to find out what E. Wein has to say about Narnia in her essay* But that is what libraries are for. :p

Amazon have now got the artwork up for the VDT Audiobook re-release. It's essentially the same as the VDT Tie-In Book, but Reepicheep is the other way round ;)

I think that means we've now seen all the covers for all the announced Harper Collins Tie-In titles. The fact that quite a few of the books have this same design would seem to support the idea that this is likely to be the main promotional style for the future movie posters and such.

After some quick digging, I don't think it is. I think it's just a reprinting because as far as I could tell, the one you linked Mel is no longer in print.

Found out that the Movie Storybook is scheduled for release in Canada and a few other countries on the usual date, but still haven't found anything on a US release. Most bizarre. But Amazon.ca should be more than adequate in ordering from America, and without any significant international shipping rates.

Also, the two German tie-ins, "Photos of Narnia" and "The Book of the Film" are both apparently due out sometime this month. If so, i'll probably order the former when it becomes available, as it sounds like it could have some cool new photos in, though the latter sounds like it will be mostly written text and my German is not so good ;)

Although HarperCollins released the Narnia Chronology book around the release of Prince Caspian, and they had an interactive version available online back then too, i recently came across the portfolio for a company who were asked by HarperCollins to create a Facebook Application for it earlier this year in advance of the third movie. Though i'm not sure how recently this went online, so its probably not all that "new"

Anyway, you can read about it here:

http://www.friend2friend.com/work/narnia-timeline/

And you can see the Application itself on the HarperCollins Narnia Facebook page here:

I assume that you can then add the application to your own Facebook profile in the usual way.

Wow. Some of these books are so bizarre, I'm not even sure they're for real...

"Why Edmund is totally crush-worthy?" :-s And they act like this is a book Narnia lovers will eat up...I'm not sure who their target audience is. Narnia lovers will hate it, and no one else will care. :-\

No movie companion yet... :( What will I do? I've been stashing back the money for that book since 2008...now what am I going to do...?
