They're not Disney dolls, they're Tonner dolls, but I guess there's a possibility. My fingers will be crossed for you. ;)

Yeah I hope so too. If it is two miles of stuff that I heard then there has to be something of these Tonner Dolls. ;)

I'm now seriously considering buying these dolls as a set of 4. Can't decide wheter to buy them with the normal clothes or with the coronation outfits. Leaning towards normal clothes as they look a lot better; can buy coronation outfits serparately later on.

Wow, it's been a while since I was in here.....

I have new pictures! Upon the request of Griffle, these are more detailed pictures of each doll's costume and detailing, etc.

Both dolls arrive in boxes like this:
http://i49.tinypic.com/s3pwlg.jpg

The stands for both is a simple plastic base with a hole in it for a metal piece that sticks inside it, which rises up to hold the doll at the waist.

Lucy - She arrives in her play clothes: dress, leggings, underwear, shoes, sweater. Bendable knees, ankles, elbows, waist, head turns. Detailing for fingers and toes.

I am pretty sure the dress and sweater have some small snaps to secure them. The shoes slip on easily with tiny metal buckles. Everything seems to be either cotton, nylon, or a smiliar material. Shoes are a faux leather, I assume.

Play Outfit

Shoes, leggings, etc: http://i48.tinypic.com/245yi49.jpg
Green Sweater: http://i49.tinypic.com/4uuiac.jpg

The coronation outfit comes in a seperate box (the one I actually showed the play outfit in up there earlier): dress, (underdress sewn together with it) cape, crown, and shoes.

The cape, of velvetish material, secures with one small metal hook. Her shoes, same material (?) slip on with ribbon ties that are VERY long, so I wrapped then around her feet a couple times before tying them (which is also very tricky). Her solid metal crown is more gold colored then silver, which I was disappointed about. /:) There are three (?) metal snaps on the back of the dress to secure it, and I think the sleeves are a satinish material, or the like.

(post below me) Yay Griffle! I am sure you will be very happy with them! I would be glad to see pics of all four of them together, in different poses. :D

Bought the set with the 4 dolls in their normal clothes. Can't wait till I get them so I can put them in my cabinet. ;) I plan on taking photos of them in different poses from scenes in the film, kind of like somone did with the Disneystore exclusive LWW action figures way back.

Happy, happy, happy! :D

EDIT: Found these on another website:

do you think they'll make a Caspian doll? or Lilliandil (RD)?

@ Liberty - I certainly hope they do. I am actually suprised they did not at least make a Prince Caspian doll with outfit(s) from the PC movie. If Treader is a big enough hit and Lilliandil had a large enough roll (and pretty enough costume) then it is definetly a possibility.

@ Griffle - Cool pics! Thanks for posting them

Does anyone still want detailed photos of the Peter doll? Just asking because it takes a while to upload them to post. ;)

Only upload them if you feel like you have the time and if you want to. I'm sure we would love to see them, but it's not a must.

I'll upload photos of the dolls once I get them. (hopefully sometime next week)

Oh, lovely! My mom was planning to get me one a long time ago for my B-day. We have the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz, and a model doll. I also like the Pirates of the Caribbean ones. Tonner had better make VDT ones. I wish they would make LotR ones too. But I'm glad side show collectibles and weta makes them!

They're quite expensive, but considering you don't seem to have a problem buying the Sideshow figures, I guess it doesn't really matter.

EDIT: I picked them up half an hour ago. They're all locked into my glass door cabinet now. *evil laugh* lol

Will take some photos when I have the time. Have to figure out what to do with all the stuff I had to take out of the cabinet to make room for the dolls. A luxury problem, I know. :ymblushing:

@Griffle: Thanks for the link. I'm going to check it out! But, no I've never bought anything weta or sideshow before, can't afford it unless, my dad or I,etc save up big time, unless it's on sale at a retail site. My mom bought the tonner dolls at this little doll shop at Pasadena, California. Forgot what it's called but I'll go check. There are some really cute Funko LotR plush dolls at sideshow for $10 list price. It's on the wait-list now.

I've always wanted to play with dolls, now I have a reason. :D Yay!!

Question: If you have the dolls with their normal clothes plus a full set of coronation outfits, when do you change clothes? It's pretty tricky to get their shoes on over their socks, let me tell you. I guess that's why the Tonner people didn't bother doing it themselves.

@ Griffle, whatcha mean "when" do you change their clothes? Whenever you like! haha ;) I left my two in their original clothes for a while, and then changed them VERY carefully. No animals in the room, (like cats with claws) and I'd do it on a clean floor so nothing drops on accident.
btw - you have great lighting for them in that cabinet! :D

My next post will hopefully be a rundown of the Peter doll. ;)

I mean, I don't think I would want to go through the trouble of getting their socks and shoes off and on again. I had to use the flat end of my metal bookmark from Singapore (LWW) as a shoehorn. (Closest thing available at the time) There's not a lot of room in those shoes for the thick socks.

If you cover Peter, I'll take some photos of Susan and Edmund when [if] I have the time.

Got the coronation outfits today. I've changed clothes on Pete and Edmund; they're done. The girls have their dresses and capes on, but I have a problem with the shoes. What do I do with the long gold ribbons on the shoes??? They're way too long. Any ideas?

I'd suggest tying multiple bows, or wrapping them around the ankle like ballet ribbons.
