The Quest for the Seven Swords begins- FOR REAL

Greetings,

I've begun a search for both the original swords used by the Seven Lords in Walden's VDT movie, as well as any existing replicas of the swords, both as an addition to my own collection and to provide a resource for other Narnia/sword buffs. If you have any information as to the location of any of these swords, please post below!

OK, here's the first sword I found, wielded by Lord Rhoop:

Please note that this website requires a membership in order to view prices. If you're interested in buying this, be aware that you may have to pay monthly membership fees.

Just to give you an idea of the prices, the sword carried by Drinian sold for about $4,500. Before the movie even came out! :-o

If you'd like to read more about this quest while connecting with other interested fans, a fellow Narnia website, The Lion's Call, is running a series of articles with updates on my quest for the Seven Swords: https://www.thelionscall.com/2019/04/11 ... ans-quest/

Again, if you have any information, (or perhaps YOU want to find the swords too)
please post!

Ok, I found this collector's picture: https://www.instagweb.com/media/BtMEXqPn36-
but I wasn't able to find any more info about the sword (which you'll see third from the right) so I don't know if this is Rhoop's sword or a different sword. Can anyone provide some more information about this collector? Is this collector perhaps another Narniawebber? :D

It looks like the Seventh Sword is in the large collection of film items owned by Living Like Lucy Ministry -http://www.livinglikelucy.com/the-exhibit.php (its short video shows a number of notable items, and the sword is mentioned about halfway through).

The Ministry has moved to work alongside Logos Theatre in South Carolina.

You may like to try a contact via Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LivingLikeLucy/

Good luck - it's possible that they may have information on other swords.

Thanks so much! I had actually looked at pictures of their collection before and couldn't find it anywhere. I guess their display is huge enough for stuff to get lost in it! =))
I'll see what info they might have.

Well, I found out from them that they do indeed have one version of Rhoop's sword- and a collector in New York has the other (which is in the other picture I found.) Also, all the remaining props still in storage were sold to LLL a few years ago, and the other swords weren't there.
Looks like we have some serious digging to do...

While we're still looking for original replicas, here's a sword I found that's very similar to the original: link: https://www.albion-swords.com/The%20Regent.html
It can be modified by adding black leather grips with silver wire half-wrapping, if you're looking for the closest thing, AND if you're willing to pay $1,760. :D
The sword is an historic German design from the 15th century, classified as Oakeshott XVIIIb. Perhaps this design influenced the design of the movie props?

Woah, haven't updated this for a few months!
Well, on the suggestion of Kristi from The Lion's Call, I contacted a certain ebay seller she'd found and was told that the seller did indeed have, in his unlisted inventory, a "remnant" of the Seven Swords! Stay tuned for further details!
