Thinking about Polly's costumes add your own ideas

I like the one on the right for Polly

I like both of the dresses, I can't really see the one on the left because of the doll but it might be even better, without the hat. I prefer the hair on the right but as Polly's supposed to be very young (we're told if she was a little younger she would have wanted to put one of Uncle Andrews rings in her mouth) perhaps the other one would look better.
I like the dress on the left. Neither of the girls look as I would imagine Polly though.

I think Polly should have a blue dress with a white collar and it should be around her knee. :) Then I think she out to have a Long white stockings- to get wet in the wood beetween the worlds. Please express your opinoins/ Views on the subject.

Royal blue with cream-colored trim for the dress and white, knit, stockings

Love that idea Lu. I would say just over her knee with the stockings reaching up to her knee's not really sure if this is historically accurate but in my mind it works for Polly. I think (although I'm not certain and I haven't got MN any where near) that she's show with a pinafore over her dress. That I'm pretty sure is historically accurate judging from the pictures above so maybe that could be cream and the dress could be royal blue minus trimmings.

you could could also look at Jane's costumes in Mary Poppins: The Musical for patterns(she sometimes wears a pale pink pinafore with a white collar)

That´s pretty! And the girl is pretty too! If Lucy wasn´t casted yet, i´d say she really looks like my imagination Lucy!

Lu_valient, your last post is very Polly Plummer, something like that would do perfectly although i hope her Victorian dress in the film will be blue. ;)

Polly lives a little earlier than Jane Banks (who is Edwardian rather than Victorian). The sailor suit dress is very suitable for little girls of several decades - often in a blue.

Ooh, a sailor dress! I f she is a little girl that would be cute...would nine year olds where that? Or is Polly too old (I mean the book- if they change ages then that's whole different thing!)

Then that with the traditional white or blue bow (probably white) pulling the top of her hair back from her face would be adorable! Especially if she has curls! Blond curls!

Lu :D

Polly is definitely blonde in my head and about the age Lucy looks in LWW. She should have blonde curls, they would make her look younger and very sweet but she needs to be brave (I'm game if you are) and quite strong willed (Diggory wanted to be the one to say change but Polly wouldn't allow it) as a person.
The directors were so lucky to get Georgie Henly, she looked so young but she can really act. I hope they're as lucky with Polly.
