Narnian_Dreamer, your second pic is a dream! I would love that for when she meets Rillian. And DamselJillPole, I agree, it would look fabulous on a LOTGK with red hair!

Yse, it should be different. But I think she should also wear a lot of black, too or very dark green, because she is, basically, a very evil and bad witch. She has to look quite nice at first, but you must have the feeling that there is something really bad in her, too. So, in my opinion, they have to use a very bright and light colour, but also a dark colour.

MountainFireflower wrote:Group Hug, I really like that dress you drew! It's very fitting for the Lady of the Green Kirtle. I especially like the dark, murky green color. At about what point in the movie would she wear this?

Probably when they meet her on horse back with the black knight for the first time. :ymhug:

Thanks, I've always thought she would wear dresses like the one I drew. LOTGK wouldn't boldly annouce to the world that she was Queen of the under world. It would be very subtle, like the lime green fabric that appears at the bottom of the dress represents silthering snakes. :)

Lu_valient, I really that last dress on the Polyvore you did - it's a really neat idea to have her transition to a darker, more disturbing look at the end. And I like the way you drew some darker green material at the side of your dress sketch. :)

I wanted to mention that I think LotGK should have very long hair, which would be worn down and completely loose at least until Rillian's disappearance.

I think that LotGK should have an overall very "Celtic", earthy feel to her.

I think the dress shouldn't be as ballgown-y as the White Witch's dress. After all, she was more emphasized as a queen than the Emerald Witch I think. And it would be pretty hard to ride a horse in a ballgown!

I think that maybe Snake scales would look good on the top of the gown.

Lady Lilliandil, That would be a really cool idea, if it went up into a high collar

I was thinking that it would cool on the bodice. Maybe in multiple colors. You Know how a snake has scales every where? I think that would look cool. But now that I think about it a collar would look cool too, good idea! ;;)

This is what I think the dress could look like. I did it in 3 colors of green ;;)

Wow, Lady Lilliandil, that's so pretty! Yet it's rather snaky too, if you look at it closely. Perfect for LotGK!! :-bd :ymapplause:

Thank you! My goal was to make her look pretty but still make her look snake like. I put scales on the bodice. I also looked at pics of snakes! :) ;;) I think the real one should be something sparkly and sheer?! :ymsmug:

Oooh, I just got some ideas!!

Dress #1: Enchantment Dress

This dress is what LotGK wears when she enchants Rillian. It should be long and flowy, with a low collar) not low as in immodest, but low as in, not a neck-hugging collar), and it should drape and hang very loosely. She should just flow in this dress, with long, loose hair (< as someone else suggested, I do believe) that is crimped with maybe a touch of curl at the ends. She should wear slippers, but these should not show. The bottom of the dress should flow away from her body where it touches the ground. She will be footless, as I now realize, like a snake. Might have some light brown medieval-style lacing on it. She should be young and beautiful, with deep brown hair (perhaps the slightest tint of red accent to it), and deep green eyes. Maybe she could wear a natural-looking wrath in her hair, or two small braids tying together in the back to make a sort of 'crown', like Lucy and Susan have worn before. The color: woodsy green.

Dress #2: Traveling Dress

This dress should be light and airy, a light green with bunches of extra fabric flowing about behind her (and covering her feet) as she rides. Her hair should fly back behind her, and maybe have a flower of green or white in it.

Dress #3: Queen of Underworld Dress

This dress should be regal and royal, with a much snakier theme coming into play. The collar should be stiff and tall, and she should look altogether impressive and uncomfortable. Again, we do not see her feet. She should look as though she could barely sit down, and her hair should be pulled straight up into one of those ugly (IMO) hairstyles where the hair stands up five feet (exaggerating), curves, then comes over to the back of the head in maybe a roll? This dress should be deep forest-green. Maybe she could wear a sparkly, snakey necklace.

Dress #4: Silver Chair Dress

When LotGK come sin and is angry to see the chair broken, she should be wearing either her Queen dress or something very like it, then magically change into this dress as the children, Rillian and Puddleglum become enchanted. The dress should be sequin-y, sparkly, glittery, and much more fitted (still modest) than the others. The neck should be square, and her feet should be covered in trails of the deep, deep green, glitter-fabric. She should have her hair blend in with the dress, maybe a veil? She should be oh-so-beautiful, but SO snakey too...(I hope you don't mind me stealing your "sparkly" (in the dress material) and "sheer" (in the veil) ideas, Lady Lilliandil)

Could someone talented please draw some things up for me...? (If you've got the time and like my ideas, of course! :D )

LoN

BTW, Lady Lilliandil, the shape of your LotGK picture reminds me of a cobra! Nice touch (and scary!)

I love your ideas, Lucy of Narnia! I think I would like to draw them for you! :) I'm not sure I'd I'm very "talented" but I'm not bad at drawing either! If someone else would like to help me draw them great! But I would love to draw Dress #1!
