While I read the books I never saw Aravis being Asian. I pictured her as being Indian or of Middle Eastern heritage. I also saw her having a thick accent (maybe not that thick) while she got into her story telling. There is this girl at my school that looks like a spitting image of Aravis...(in my opinion).

Aravis is a Calmorine so she needs to have darker skin, so if they make HAHB and I see a blonde hair blue eyed Aravis that won't be good
I am more conserned about acting though, because acting is one of the main things than makes a movie so good. one of the other things is detail
for ex. in LWW when Lucy steps through the wardrobe they had, Mothballs, and she didn't completely shut the door.
so we really need a good actress for her who picks up on detail like that.

If they continue this series or reboot they should get an actress like this. This actress is too old now to play her, just for example;

Hmm, I picture her more Arab looking than African American though.
Um, celebrities with the look I'm thinking of off the top of my head are Nicole Scherzinger, and Freida Pinto. Only much younger and with less make up.
