Aravis Tarkheena
I know we're not even sure if they'll do HHB yet, but I'm hoping they'll do it, and if they did, How would you like Aravis Tarkheena to look? or Who would you choose to play her?

Re: Aravis Tarkheena
I think she'd have long, dark hair falling to, maybe, the middle of her back, and her skin would be tanned. She should be kinda tall, but not much taller than Shasta.
I haven't got anyone in mind to play her yet. I'll have to look some people up.

Yeah, I also think her eyes should either be dark or light (not too light) brown. I think taller than Shasta wouldn't be so bad, actually.

I would say someone who resembles the girl who plays in The Young Black Stallion. Basically what NaiadWaker said

I'd like Aravis to be tall(although not taller than Shasta ), long dark hair, and darker skin, although not too dark.
This pic of Eva Green looks very much like how I imagine Aravis, as far as the facial features. Of course, she needs tanned skin and dark eyes!

And I thought this was a very Calormene look, although a tad too heavy:

Yeah, her facial features really do look a lot like Aravis, and you're right, that is just a bit too much of a Calormen look. I don't think Aravis' character would ever agree on wearing so much stuff...

That's a good idea, about the curls. I know what you mean.
I think she should have tan skin, black hair, some curls, and hazel or brown eyes

Oh wow! I like how Eva Green looks! She Definitively has an Aravis look about her! Beautiful yet strong-willed and determined. Of course by the time they film HHB, she'll be too old for the part but she looks very much like Aravis to me!
Especially in these pictures.
(Although with less garments of course.)
On a horse!
This one looks a bit dark but I suppose HHB is a little dark...

Re: Aravis Tarkheena
She should be an actress of Middle Eastern heritage, since Aravis is from a country which is for the most part accepted to be very Arabian in culture. Very long, black wavy or curly hair. Maybe even have an accent as well!
@arabesque-I like those outfits! It doesn't really seem like too much clothing considering she's from a very royal family. Although you're right that for the journey she'll most likely wear less layers.

Re: Aravis Tarkheena
Middle Eastern looking, for certain. If she ends up being Hispanic, or just a dark-complexioned white actress, I wouldn't mind that either. Black hair to her waist (I don't care if it's wavy or curly), and brown eyes I suppose would make the most sense, though there is something vaguely intriguing about giving her bright colored eyes...oh, well. I do wonder what they'll do for a Calormene accent...
Though she's 13 in the book, she'll probably be raised a year or two in the films, so we're looking at a girl who's...9 or 10 now, yes?
Jill and Lucy: Lauryn Alisa McClain isn't quite the coloring I had imagined...
As for Eva Green, I think her look is a bit too waifish.
I know. I'm picky. Let me grub up a 'look' that I think is good for Aravis...

Re: Aravis Tarkheena
I'm thinking Indian, too. I don't know much about Indians, so I don't know how many skin tones they have, but it seems like a lot, and I have one in particular in mind...
I found my Aravis "look". I am suggesting the look, but know that I think she's too light. NOT the skin tone I had in mind. But imagine her darker.

Re: Aravis Tarkheena
ChristProclamer, I love that last one! She looks a lot like I imagined Aravis in the books. And it looks like she's not too well known, but has some acting experience. AND she's not too old...she's the best choice I've seen so far!

What do you mean a little dark?!? HHB is not a dark book at all! It occured in the Golden age of Narnia when Peter was the high King in Narnia. How can that be dark? Nothing has a dark bend to it either but instead there is the hope and adventure of getting to "Narnia and the North". The whole aspect of that is exiting and a focuses on the light not the dark. It it is a dark book you are looking for then LB would be a better choice. Now you may say, "but what about the Calormens, weren't they dark", Well I suppose they had they have their evil ways but Lewis was very artful in creating villains while still making them interesting and not painting a dark steak across the imaginations of all. If it is a dark book that you are looking for then LB is a better choice.
