Young Digory Kirke

I, too, wanted Asa Butterfield for the part. As that's clearly not going to work out unless Digory is around 16 in MN, I need to start looking for a younger kid. But Asa has very much the 'look' and spirit I'd like in Digory.

Hm, he could do(I mean the pic of that actor), but one, I don't like the idea of him wearing contact lenses, and two, how old will he be in two years (hopefully 'bout the time SC is out and MN is starting casting)? Besides that, I think he's a great example of an actor that looks like a younger version of Digory in LWW.

I also don't really care to Digory's height much, but an average (or slighty shorter) height will do. What do you guys think?

Just learned that Asa Butterfield is thirteen (fourteen in April), Kind of like me,(thirteen, fourteen in May)
Asa looks like more of a Diggory than Cainan, I think it's because he has blue eyes like Jim's.

I can´t really see Asa as Digory. I always thought it being like magnets:
Polly: Golden Blond + any light eye color
Digory: Brown/Black + any dark eye color

hmmm, now of course this all depends on the AGE of Digory. Asa might look to young and inocent for Digory, but Cainan might be too old. I definetly think Cainan has the right face though.

It's true that Asa does look young...but he's actually around 3 years too old (we have to be picturing these kids as they'll look 3 years in the future). If he stayed the way he looks now, he'd be great.

My image of the young Digory Kirke has always been how the illustations have been. So if he looks something like that, I'll be happy!
But really, I don't think I'll mind to much what he looks like..for now at least.

Frankly, any of the above actors I think are good for Digory. I never really thought of him looking a certain way except when he was old.

I like Asa Butterfield! Hes great and I think he'd be good in a Narnia film...he has that look to him if you know what I mean?
He should be played by an english actor and regardless of book descriptions I always saw him as dark haired with blue eyes...which is why I think Asa Butterfield would be good!

I don't have any specific actors in mind, but he needs brown hair. Glasses would be a nice touch too.

Not that glasses are a bad idea, but that sounds like a weird thing for any of the kids who go to Narnia to wear. At the moment, I'm not for Digory wearing glasses. But the brown hair, I strongly agree to.

I hope the Uncle Andrew and Digory share a few characteristics. No, I don't mean the bad ones, but I'd like there to be something that shows they're related.

As before, I also want the actor to be unknown, or barely known. I can't imagine it being any other way.

I like Asa. He just looks like Digory to me Although I also liked the suggestion of Hero Fiennes-Tiffin as well. He would be another good choice.

My opinion is the same way as yours Asa does have that look to be in a Narnia film, more importantly he has that Victorian age look about him. I love his dark hair and blue eyes as well. It's exactly how i imagined Digory all along.

I have always imagined Digory around 12-13 years old with brown eyes and hair.
