JillPoleFan565- maybe you could work on your accent a bit more, but well done all the same!

To both JillPoleFan565 (who I was trying to explain this to) and to Lu_valient (hi, Lu! :D ) I finally figured out what it is that I think would help you both some in acting as Jill Pole.

I think you are both sort of saying one line at a time, pausing, and then doing the next line, almost as though you are reading the book. I just mean that if you try to think of yourself as Jill, get into her mind, think of her lines not as 'line #1, line #2, line #3...' but as a train of thought, emotions, replies, suggestions...like she's having a conversation that she didn't plan to have...I think that would help. :)

Also JillPoleFan565, what accent were you using? I don't know if it will help you but I made an 'English 101' crash course on how to speak w/ a British accent, I'd love to have you see it, will give you the youtube link if I can get it put up there. :D

Lu

P.S. If I get my monologues up on youtube I will come back here and repost my resume (as it has been several weeks) and then I can include a link so everyone can see my acting and if I'd make a good Jill. :D

*edit* A_Narnian_Ship you look like you could be an older Polly (if she's only nine in the first one I don't think you would work, lol!) but maybe in LB!!! :ymapplause: Have a video of your acting? :D

i was using my own accent i only do this for fun i am not trying to get an audition through it like the other girls on youtube

also during most of mine other people are talking and they are at moments where i feel there should be a pause mine is memorized i am not reading if you notice they actually do flow together and the paused parts are either where someone else is talking or i feel there should be a pause i have been acting for a long time so i don't pause unless i feel it is needed

Jill_Pole_Fan565, I don't mean pauses as in between sentences, or catch-your-breath, or Eustace-is-speaking-but-I-have-no-one-to-say-his-lines type of thing. I mean that the dialogue was (in my opinion) sort of choppy at times. Please don't take offense! :) I hope you understand what I mean...

This sort of comment would be better done privately. I suggest you use PMs if you want to talk further on it.
“Not all of us can choose what we give up. The things we love are taken or are never ours at all. If we’re lucky, life is defined not by what we let go, but what we let in: friendship and kind words, frailty and hope.”
