The thing is, what is a CGI god of a lion supposed to look like?

He doesn't really look like a real lion, they have to make him more human, if you know what I mean.

When you actually think that every bit of that was made on a computer it doesn't look so bad.

I agree with aragorn2, I don't think he is supposed to look like a wild lion. I think he should look like he has a soul to him . I felt that in LWW.

His eyes are different, I remember Adamson saying that he blinks differently from a real lion to make him look slightly more human.
“Not all of us can choose what we give up. The things we love are taken or are never ours at all. If we’re lucky, life is defined not by what we let go, but what we let in: friendship and kind words, frailty and hope.”

What does a real lion blink like. :p

Is it only the Poster Aslan that has drastically changed? I haven't noticed such a diffference in the trailer.

I think it's just the poster. There are changes in the trailer, but nothing like that. And the new possible banner makes him look completely different then the poster.

I think the poster peoples are just having difficulties drawing consistent lions.

Yes, the new banner (the one with Peter and Susan on it) looks much closer to the Aslan we have seen. Some people didn't like it but I thought it looked fine myself- especially after seeing all those horrible pictures of Aslan on the other posters. I hope the offcial poster at least has Aslan's picture changed to another one.

You know what the new poster version of Aslan does look like though?

The Harper Collin's book covers.

I think they may have used the same pic.

Edit ok maybe not the same pic, but they're pretty close.

I think that his eyes are great with sadness, and I don't quite like the long face; it makes him look unreal. I am glad we have great computer technology. To me, the PC Aslan looks untamed, more wild. In VDT, He looks more majestic, and I'm glad, familiar. But I can't find a combination of both. In LWW, He just looked like 'a lion'. There's something humane in him but that's it. They already accomplished putting the humane and sad parts in him, which I'm glad of too.

I like Aslan in VDT best. I think he looks the most realistic. The scene in which Lucy talks to Aslan in the mirror in her cabin looks absolutely FANTASTIC! some of the best animation i think i have ever seen!

I thought Aslan was very well animated in VDT, though I haven't seen the other recently to compare them

After watching all movies back-to-back, I have to say I prefer the VoDT Aslan hands down. He really exudes God's majesty and gentleness. In LWW, he looks fierce and wild but not majestic enough, and in PC he looks big and (sorry) dumb. This time the CGI people really got him right :)
