Everyone seems to be pretty confident that Will can play the "bad kid" part, but can he be likeable too? Eustace changes remember, then we have to like him. The actor has to be endearing as well as annoying.

^^ I think that he will also be likeable! I mean, he has to be after his un-dragoning!

He will be able to pull the good kid part off as well as he could pull the bad kid part off. I THINK. He is perfect for the part I beleive, but I can't judge him in the role honestly till I see him as Eustace.

Again, I point to the movie Son of Rambow--in the beginning Will's character is a very annoying, obnoxious, rebellious kid. By the end of it while he's still rebellious and slightly annoying I suppose, he's definetly much more likable and the audience is cheering for him. There's no doubt he'll be able to play the bad/good Eustace perfectly. :D

Of course Valiant_Lucy! I think Will Poulter is destined to play the role of Eustace. Looking at the clips and pictures already makes me laugh. I don't think but I know he will do great!

I'm glad to hear that the consensus is that Will can be both naughty and nice. I'm sad sometimes when an actor plays one aspect of his character well but can't keep up with a change the character has to grow into.

I cite Vigo Mortenson as an example, he was the perfect Strider, but he was no Elessar. Theoden was a more rousing king than Aragorn. (In my humble opinion.)

A positive example is Christian Bale, he was convincing as both Batman and Bruce Wayne, even with all the gowth and change the character undergoes.

I have to disagree with that Wil pulters Fan, Christian Bale actually voiced Thomas (John's best friend) in Disney's Pocahuntas.

Back to Will Poulter, I can't wait to see him in the trailer. :D

What I really really really love about Will Poulter already from seeing Son of Rambow, interviews and footage from VDT is that he so reminds me of a River Phoenix of this generation. And I mean this as a great compliment for this actor. I hope he does other things and I mean big things after Narnia. He can come do American high budget films because I know he can be great and also because he reminds me so much of River Phoenix. :) :D

I watched a trailer for Son of Rambow the other day for the first time, and that was the first time I'd seen Will Poulter outside of pictures, and I have to say he looked and acted perfectly for the part. Can't wait for the trailer!

I saw a video of School of Comedy performed on the stage and I think it was an excellent performance. Not just Will, all of the actors, but my point is, that he would fit as a stage actor perfectly as well. :)

I was supposed to go to that performance in Edinburgh in 08 with my theatre class but I couldn't come up with 3900 dollars for my ticket. :(

I could have seen Will live!

eustacegirl: River Phoenix was a famous actor from 80's-early 90's until he died. He was deeply known for the role he played in Stand By Me (most people commented Will Poulter's acting a lot to this) he also played young Indiana Jones. The two actors even resemble each other in a way when River was younger.
