Reboot Casting: Let's Cast the Pevensies!

So...I'm taking a tip from GlumPuddle and turning to mad speculation.

Supposing the Narnia series were to reboot, who would you all pick for the new cast (specifically the Pevensies)? It's hard to think of anyone but our beloved WASG playing the Kings and Queens, but hey, lets try for the fun of it.

My vote for Susan: Isabelle Fuhrman

My vote for Peter: Charlie Rowe

Any other ideas?

I think Max Records would be a great Peter , even though he is American. I saw him in Where the Wild Things Are, and he was great in it. (Sorry, I don't know of many British child actors, but let's assume they could pull one off.)

I can imagine a Narnia without the current kids very well actually. I find it a bit annoying actually when people are complaining "We just can't do a Narnia reboot without so and so in it. It would be terrible." Really? 8-|

Anyways, here is another British child actor suggestion. How about Holly Bodimeade as Susan? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2733218/

Edmund or Peter: Asa Butterfield? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2633535/

Lucy? I have no idea.

For Susan I would pick the girl who plays Angus's older sister in "The Water Horse"

Sorry, don't know her name. :ymblushing:

BUT! That's only based on the assumption of a reboot...no one could replace Anna Popplewell. Ever.

Anna Popplewell has the right look for Susan but can be easily replaced because of the big character change and believe a future actress can replace her by playing Susan the way she should be portrayed.

I can't think of any actress at this moment who could portray Susan. Imogen Poots is the ideal person I imagine Susan to look like: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1860680192/nm1782299 She is very gorgeous and if the movie would reboot an actress who looks like her would do.

Alex Etel would be a great Peter and he is the right age and look to portray him if there was a reboot: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1375020/

And even though I'm rooting for this actor to play Digory I can see him portaray a really good Edmund: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2633535/ he's super adorable!!

And this girl for Lucy: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2890526/

Hah, it's funny that two of you should suggest Asa Butterfield already. I wanted him so bad as Eustace, and then so bad as Digory...now it looks like he'll never be in a Narnia movie...*sniff* :(

How about this girl for Lucy? Olivia Hancock:

Or this kid for Edmund? Dmitri Schuyler-Linch:

And I thought of Max Records for Peter, too! But I also like the idea of Bill Milner in the role:

It might be interesting to see Saoirse Ronan as Susan. :-\

Saoirse Ronan would be awesome as Susan.

I think a lot of the reason so many people don't want to recast is because they have a hard time reshaping their mental image of the characters. As in, Susan doesn't actually look like Anna. It'd be fun to see a blond Susan, like in the BBC versions. Or even, a blond Edmund!

Okay, blond Edmund's a bit too far of a stretch for me.

Saoirse Ronan would be the ultimate Susan!! 100% agree with you Ithilwen. Ironic I rewatched The Lovely Bones last night and I actually thought about that :) :ymapplause:

I think it would be fun and actually have a Lucy who had blond hair like in the book.
