That description of Father Christmas in the novel really stood out to me in that regard.
There is definitely a seriousness to this version of the character, which commands a healthy respect in addition to gladness and excitement. I really hope the Netflix series honours that. Reading this description also makes me re-think how Father Christmas would talk. He seems more soft-spoken, yet with a voice which still carries power behind it.
Looking forward to see what they do with the character and that scene.
