And some people don't believe in fate...
Today, my sister Ruthie was watching an Australian movie called The Dish when she noticed something rather peculiar. It featured two actors whom we shall soon come to know very well, in somewhat complimentary roles.
Just look for yourself...
That's Billie Brown on the left playing the Prime Minister, and that's Roy Billing on the right playing the small-town mayor in a comedy/docu-drama about the TV dish that broadcast the first moonwalk to the world. (And if you don't know already, they're playing Coriakin and the Chief Dufflepud in VdT, respectively). This cap cracks me up because I think it kind of fits their Narnia roles a bit. I didn't actually watch the movie myself (yet!) but Ruthie said it was pretty good and they were both fantastic actors!
Kind of funny, huh?

Ha, ha! Yes, that's very cool.
They're recognisable actors in Australia but I'm not sure what other movies/TV series I've seen them in.
I'm usually not an advocate of Australian movies (we have very few good movies) but The Dish is one of the them. I love it! A perfect blend of Aussie drama and comedy recalling an important (but largely unknown) slice of space exploration history.

That's great! And if they are both good actors, I'll sleep a little better at night. Thanks!

Though it's true alot of actors work on multiple movies together I find this to be a little funny because of the said roles they were playing:
prime minister and small town mayor, and it seems to translate very well as the magician and chief dufflepod respectively. "same" roles in a whole different setting.

Wow, that's hilarious. I'd like to watch that now, to see how they act. Thanks for bringing it to attention!

I would definitely recommend you watch this movie. Except for some mild language problems it is an absolute delight. Roy Billings plays one of the best characters in this movie; casting him as the Chief Dufflepud is inspired.

well for all we know they may have cast them out of this movie. its been known that the first HP film was cast out of the David Copperfield movie.

That is funny, very ironic. What a cute coincidence.

LOL
Very funny. And, see, they're looking at each other - they're not just in the same movie, but in the same scene! Amazing!
