Does anyone know if this is true?
I apologize if this has been covered or if this is posted in the wrong area.

PC did have a lackluster performance in the theaters, but it sold well on DVD creating enough justification for Walden to go foreward with VDT, and for FOx to have enough interest to co-finance. PC was sandwhiched between two other blockbuster movies (Iron Man and Indiana Jones) that negatively affected its performance and Fox and Walden took that into account.

I think that as long as VDT makes enough money that walden will p[ush foreward to make the next movie.

Is there any offical note on what the character's ages are? I know nothing is mentioned in the movies but has there been any note on it by the film makers/producers?

The actual ages, or the supposed movie ages?

DamselJillPole posted in another thread once that apparently on the Extended Edition DVD for LWW, that Anna Popplewell mentions that her character is supposed to be 13 in LWW (presumably in the directors commentary, though i've never listened to that myself so i don't know for certain).

You could therefore use that to work out the ages for the other characters (all 4 children's ages being spaced 1 year apart) in LWW, and then for PC being 1 year later. Reports seem to indicate that for the VDT movie, the time gap may be more than the 1 further year later as it is in the book.

Alternatively you could use the UK school leaving age in 1941 to work out the ages of the children in Prince Caspian given that they are all wearing school uniform at the start of that movie (assuming Peter is in the highest school year and the others are in the subsequent years below). The current school leaving age in the UK is 16. In 1944 it was 15, and prior to that when Prince Caspian is set it was presumably 14. So depending on how historically accurate you think the filmmakers were being, you can use that as a benchmark for estimating Peter's age at the beginning of the last school year.

The supposed movie ages. If you factor in the fact Peter must be in school in PC, then there does seem to be a bit of a plot hole. Not that its significant, but I was just curious. :)

I got a huge pay raise from a few years ago. I watched LWW once in theaters and watched PC twice. I'm going to watch VDT lots of times to cancel out the disgruntled NarniaWebbers who won't. Hehe.

I saw LWW twice in theaters and PC twice in theaters. I am going to see VotDT at least 3 times in theaters at least (I hope to do more than that!) :D

Does anyone know if Aslan says that Edmund and Lucy will never come back to Narnia at the end of the film? I hope so since I think its crucial! :-\

He probably will, that way the people will get more attached to Eustace since they know that he will be the only one that will come back.
That way they can sort of know what to expect.

I think he will. He said it to Peter and Susan, so I would expect they wouldn't hold off on Edmund and Lucy not returning.

Well the Telmarines were decended from Pirates, and pirates tend to be multi-racial... so its possible.

He looks to me to be more of (in Earth terms) Mediterranean/Middle Eastern, which is the exact demographic C.S. Lewis says the Telmarines descended from (the pirates). So I think it's all good. =D
