You forgot to check the front door for packages, and now my new full-color set of the Chronicles of Narnia that I ordered from overseas is soggy from the rain we had over the weekend.

You didn't vacuum the floor, though you cleaned up after that mirror you broke, & now I've got a glass sliver in my foot.

I had a meeting around 9 AM or I would have and at 3:30 PM I had soccer practice; dont worry I will buy more plants.

You didn't tell me when the latest level water restrictions would be applied, so now I am getting a fine for using too much water.

I've been living in England so long that I forgot what water restrictions are.

You mislaid the remote control and now I have to physically get up and walk over to the TV to change the channel (you know, like we all had to do in the old days...).

Oh the horror! But it wasn't me, it was Dear Old Dad you need to ask, because he thinks the remote control is a natural extension of himself, so he can watch whatever he likes, when he likes & now he likely doesn't know where he put it.

It isn't only the TV remote control which you didn't find, it is also the remote controls for the air conditioning, & tomorrow we are to have a heatwave of 39 degrees Celsius so we will be boiling.
