Fortunately, the area became prime real estate for sunny vacation resorts.

Unfortunately, the sunny vacation resorts took off to the point where (to be completely unoriginal about it) they paved paradise and put up a parking lot. :D

Fortunately the paved parking lot was useful when the then residents of summer vacation places were evacuated to safety when bushfires came a'calling.

Unfortunately (but mercifully after everyone was evacuated), the whole resort region was entirely burnt out.

Fortunately, a bumper crop of flowers grew in the ashes which attracted flocks of photographers.

Unfortunately, this was a particularly inconsiderate bunch of photographers who blocked the view for everyone else and left their equipment everywhere.

Fortunately the hailstorm & sharp gusts of wind & rain following the bushfires ruined the photographers' expensive equipment so they had to pick up all their belongings & go home.

Unfortunately the photographers' equipment was damaged & it cost hundreds of dollars to repair it.

Fortunately, the warranty had not yet expired, and the camera company offered to reimburse them with more durable equipment that they had been developing for storm-chasers and the like.

Unfortunately even the new camera equipment went up in smoke in a particularly devastating fire front.

Fortunately, the photographers' companies made sure they purchased insurance for the new camera equipment.

Unfortunately, the insurance company wasn't based on Earth so it would be a long time before the claims were processed.

Fortunately, someone invented "space" wifi so that the insurance company was able to respond quickly even if the claims took a while to process.
