Haven't you watched on TV the news bulletins which also list the procedures to take to help minimise bushfires?

I assume that from you this would also be a genuine question. I'm not sure yet, but hopefully we will get some rain this arvo. Northern NSW & southern QLD have taken a battering.

(Yes, that was a genuine question, Wagga — hope you did get some rain.)

Have they brought out Elvis or any other firefighting helicopters yet?

Doesn't that depend on what's burning (wood, oil, electrical systems...)?

Aren't some fires more deadly based on what's burning?

Wouldn't volunteers & firefighters need to attend courses to find out how to combat the deadliest bushfires?

How would they find out when the next firefighting course will occur?

Wouldn't they need to know about wind changes, humidity, sources of water supply, how to evacuate stubborn people in the path of a fire & where to send livestock?
