That would be me. Socks stop your feet getting blistered by enclosed walking shoes, sneakers, etc.

TPBM has to look after someone who is ill.

I take care of my mom, who has severe osteoarthritis. She lives on her own, but can't do everything herself. She is basically home bound, so I do all of her shopping.

TPBM had breakfast this morning.

Yes - I always have breakfast every day. I may miss my lunch, or my evening meal, but never breakfast. (Corn flakes this morning.)

TPBM has stayed in a hotel during the last month.

Hmm, it appears no one has stayed in a hotel in the last three months, so I'm gonna go ahead and bump this up. ;))

TPBM has been to some sort of big celebration (graduation, wedding, baby shower, etc.) this year.

A graduation party, just this past weekend!

TPBM has big travel plans this summer (or winter, if you live Down Under).
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

I'll be crossing the Atlantic to Baltimore in September, to watch an American theatre (or should that be "theater" :-) ) company perform an opera I wrote the music for.

TPBM has read a really good book recently.

That would be me. But this year is one to mark several important anniversaries of famous events. Including the signing of Magna Carta (15/6/1215), Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo (1815), and the Battle of Agincourt (St Crispin's Day AKA 25/10/1415). And of course the ANZAC Centenary commemoration on 25/4/2015, which was the climax of my recent excursion to the Aegean Sea and to the French battlefields of Picardy. There are too many good books on Australia's role in WW1 for me to plough through to mention any single one. So I will mention Bernard Cornwell's Azincourt, if you don't mind mud, blood and graphic gruesomeness. And a book on the Fall of Constantinople (May, 1453) which my daughter borrowed and which I'd like to complete some time in the future when she returns it. ;)

TPBM thinks I wrote a post that is a mite too long. :ymblushing:

Long, yes, but interesting! I have a hard time cutting down on words when describing something I have an interest in too. ;) :p

I haven't read much in the way of comic books, but I like a number of newspaper and online comics. :)
(I'm not familiar with Bernie & Chet, but Nancy Drew is fun! And Sherlock Holmes has some good stories. :) )

TPBM likes ice cream.
