2. Good question! I feel like I have some connection with Martha in the Bible when she was fixing the meal and Mary was sitting at the feet of Jesus. The meal had to be made. Things had to be done and Mary was just sitting there. I would have been fretting about that as well.

2. Yes Canada has its Foundation day or its Independence Day which is called Canada Day and which it celebrates on the 1st of July, rather than on the 4th of July, according to Wikipedia

2. They have the primary responsibility for those things. Our federal government does have some responsibilities, but the USA gives power to the states over the feds (a large part of the reason the US Civil War was fought-to keep the federal government from overstepping their power within the states).
