Echolocation is also used by Toothless from the How to Train your Dragon series. (netflix series).

Fantastic Creatures & where to find them is another series which might use the latest sonar technology.

Great movie that is, I wonder if there is more series of books or movies/tv shows with echo-locating creatures.

How about vampire movies, do those count since they turn into bats?

It could be possible, that would add another scary factor to vampires.

Just because vampires & bats seem to go together, doesn't mean that bats, even pestiferous bats who make a nuisance of themselves, aren't carriers of real diseases like Lyssa virus, or rabies, even if they aren't vampires in disguise.

Knowing that bats can carry real diseases doesn't make me scared of vampires, though! :D

:) Locally, vampires are jokingly considered to be pathology technicians who collect blood samples for patients' medical treatments.

My cat Blacky was nicknamed "Count Blackula" as a kitten because his fangs stuck out noticeably... :D

Officially his real name was Blackberry, but I never actually called him that, only Blacky for short — or B for even shorter. ;)

Possibly that comment about your cat betrays where you & I both come from, when we refer to vampires collecting blood, fireys in the bush, chalkies in the classroom & what I mean by the usefulness of a sparkie when you want one.

Quite possibly, although I can assure you Blacky wasn't the blood-collecting sort of vampire (he was too lazy ever to bite anyone)...

Rarely have I ever heard of a cat called Count Blacula, though. B-)

Several cats happen to live somewhere nearby and nibble on our grass, but I don't think they have names let alone a name like Count Blacula. ;))

Too many cats stray into bushland, driven by natural instincts to catch native little tweetie birds, which is why owners need to be vigilant about their cats' whereabouts at all times.
