TPAM is old enough to appreciate just what an achievement it was for the Apollo 11 to have landed on the moon at all 50 years ago, without later advances in computer & television technology available today.

TPAM will have been listening to the radio at the same time as my classmates and I.... when the moon landing happened. (we all cheered)

TPAM might also have been able to watch the Moon Landing on grainy black & white TV on the evening news, whilst I worked on evening shifts when not at Technical College.

TPAM going to Technical College sounds quite grand these days.

TPAM who until recently, lived in New Zealand, at first administered from New South Wales, might be aware that down this way the idea of Technical Education (for vocational reasons) was born out of the prison reforms instigated by the great Elizabeth Fry, the prisoners' friend.
