Why is it a requirement to go to school (when you are a child) when some days you learn practically nothing?

So that you are prepared for jobs where you have to go in and have nothing to do on some days.

Why do we cook food that takes a long to make when we eat it in minutes?

Because cravings are hard to resist

Why do we make our beds when every night they get unmade anyways?

Because otherwise our mothers will be disappointed

What would happen if you suddenly grew wings?

I'd fly instead driving in traffic!

Why do we sleep when it is dark?

So that we can avoid meeting all the monsters that creep around in the dark

To delight people with the unexpected

Why do we light candles on a birthday cake?

So people can make fun of us when we can't blow them out in one breath

Why do we birds fly in a V formation

Because garbage cans feel taken advantage of, and avoid you

Why do drink soup when we are sick?

Because soup makes your cells happy and strong.

Why do goats climb on things?

Because they like to play King of the Hill.

Why do shadows sometimes seem spooky?

Because shadows remain attached to our bodies the same way spooky ideas are attached to our brains.

Why can't cats wait their turn to be fed?

Because they have forgotten what food tasted like last time, and they want to find out.
