Competition Survey - All Welcome

Dear Knights,
This tournament has been a brainchild of one of the mods for several years. It took several months of planning, several meetings, discussions, disagreements and effort just to get this tournament to become a reality. Nevertheless, we overcame, and the result was something truly spectacular! After a month of posting, tallying, adding, and cheering for our Knights, your epic battle has come to an end. However your Marshals have one last task for each of you!
Your Marshals devised an awesome tournament (if we do say so ourselves ), but we are in no way perfect. We realize that there are some "chinks in the armor" so to speak, and therefore, we would be remiss if we did not allow you to voice your own opinions about the competition. For those reasons, we ask you to take a few minutes and answer the questions below. We also welcome the opinions of members and mods who did not participate in the competition. Edit: If you would rather summit your feedback privately, you may PM a marshal. [/Edit]
1. Did you enjoy the tournament? What parts of it were the most fun, and which parts were the most boring? What could we change to make it even more fun?
2. Did you think that the teams were evenly matched?
3. What did you think of scoring? Were the point totals too high? Too low? What about the bonus points? Did you like the "hidden bonuses" that came into being at the end of the competition?
4. Did you like the forums that participated in the non-G&B aspect of the competition? Which was your favourite and why?
5. Were there any parts of the competition (any aspect at all) that were unclear to you? If so, what were they, and how would you like to see this remedied?
6. If you could have changed one thing about the tournament, what would it have been, and why?
7. How would you feel about eliminating the base-line for points (AKA, not every post in G&B will receive 5 points, not every post in TAN will earn you 15 points, etc....) and having the Marshals only give out points for exceptional posts? This would lead to lower scoring competitions to be sure, but do you think it would make things fairer? Do you think it would make things more fun?
8. What about the length of the tournament? Did it last too long? Was it too short?
9. If there was another tournament, would you sign up for it?
10. What did you like the names we came up with? Do you have any suggestions for names?
11. Any other thoughts, suggestions not covered by this survey?
This thread will be locked in 7 days. Your suggestions, feedback, and comments will go to decide whether there will be future tournaments, and how said tournaments will run.
Again, thank you for an amazing month of July! We hope that this opened your eyes as to what an awesome forum we have here, and we hope that you'll peek your heads back into those sections like Talk About Narnia, Cast and Character Discussion, General Movie Discussion, Narnia and Christianity, Costumes, and all of the other wonderful subforums that NarniaWeb has to offer. Now that it is over, the 2PPP rule has been removed so you may post as much as you like as long as you do not double post.
Thanks for making this what it was. . . it was truly something special!
Sincerely:
The Marshals: DiGoRyKiRkE, Malkah, ValiantArcher and Pattertwig's Pal
