Drawing of Trumpkin

Postby wild rose » Sep 10, 2011 8:54 am

A picture I drew of Trumpkin, in truth I really didn't want to draw him cause I am TERRIBLE at drawing people. But my little seven year old neighbour friend and fellow Narnia fan asked me to draw him and I didn't have the heart to say no :p So I grit my teeth and did my best. I think he came out a little unperportenal, his arms for sure are a little too small, but in general he came out better than I expected :D
Comments are a love and critasizm is welcomed :)

Hey wild_rose,

I think that is a very good drawing of Trumpkin. I know I could not attempt to draw something like that. Very nice effort.

I think the short arms give him a very nice dwarfish appearance though! =) Very nice coloring job as well! I applaud people who can color realistically like this. All my attempts come out cartoon like...
And, who can say no to a 7 year old when they ask you to draw something? When my nephew is visiting, he's always asking me to draw the video game racoon Sly Cooper! haha

It looks really good. I love how you mixed the golden colors with the orangish colors in his beard and hair. It makes it seem realistic, but also goes with the story that he's a red dwarf.

thanks everyone, I'm so glad you like it :)

DaughterofEve1792, yea it's impossible to say no to seven year olds, and to kids in general, now I have to draw a minatour, a centaour, and Aslan, for my friend's brothers :p
