Wow! My goodness, look at all the catching up I have to do since Friday morning.

My story was the opposite of DiGs's. While the Nerg Chieftain remains the mouse in the game that I've had the most trouble catching (based on the fact it shouldn't have been hard), the Dragon is the mouse that took me the longest. About 5-6 months to be precise. And while that was partially due to bad luck, it also had to do with the fact that I was an idiot and used all of my early stash of Havarti up with the Portal trap. (Back in the day, the only shadow traps were the two baby portal traps, the worthless Bottomless Pit, and the Clockapult of Time.) So that length of time included my farming gold to buy the Clockapult. And then of course after that I still had trouble catching the Dragon but at least my progress was streamlined.
Long story short, if you don't catch the Dragon soon, you may find that your progress is being crippled by burning through more Havarti cheese than you should and you may want to jump for the Gorgon.
Good luck!
Oh, and wolf, congrats on your silver crown on the Sock Puppet.

I have noticed the past several the weekends that Mousehunt has a whole lot of server lag. I click the horn and it sits there and sounds for a good several seconds (sometimes up to two minutes) before the page refreshes. Sometimes when the page refreshes the horn is still there and I haven't gone on a hunt. Sometimes I will have gone on a hunt but I'll check a different page and come back and a different mouse is in my journal. I know it's on their end of things because usually when this starts to happen I'll get a 504 Gateway Timeout (or whatever it is). It's really annoying but I just keep on clicking the buttons til it works.

Welcome to the game both of you!!
Ithilwen, if you decide you like it, I'll shoot you some gold to help you get started.
And Mother Rose, if you want more Mousehunting friends for gift exchanges or raffle tickets or whatever, let me know and I'll send you a friend invite on Facebook.
And Mother Rose, welcome to NarniaWeb too!

I noticed you were catching new Woods mice all weekend.
Best of luck when you head to the Catacombs.

Congrats on your Sphynx trap.
That'll definitely make those Cavalry Mice easier, and I'm not sure, but I think the Sphynx might do better in the Market than the Crobot.

Considering your trap, that's actually pretty decent. Or maybe it's completely average. Whatever, it's not a bad catch rate for that location.
As I told wolf, it might not hurt to invest in the Gorgon trap just so you're not burning through so much Havarti.

Still want to craft it after you've gotten the Jade Base?
wil wrote:or should i just go Muridae and get a cartographer and charm shop?
You may already know this, but in case you don't, you have to build the General Store to build the other two. It's where you get Molten Glass.
DiGs wrote:I am having rotten luck in clearing out the last of my archers. I was really hoping to get rid of them overnight, but that didn't happen .
Yeah, last night I went to bed needing the Warmonger and ONLY the Warmonger. I figured I'd get him overnight, no problem. But two hunts after I went to bed and he had stolen all of my cheese so I didn't even go on hunts overnight.
After buying more this morning, I crushed him.
So my team is being really ambitious today and doing TWO tournaments.
The indigenous tournament this morning and then the Mousoleum tournament this evening. I hope my team isn't about ready to kill me doing all of these tournaments.
If they are, they haven't told me yet.
The good news is that we're consistently doing better. The bad news is that less people are signing up, so it's becoming more and more difficult to place.
