all the teenager costumes are way too short

Have you gone to any second hand shops and looked for puffy prom dresses? That's what some people do, if their costumes involve really nice dresses. Just an idea to throw out there :)

Teehee, I know a lot of ins and outs of costuming since I've been in theatre almost my whole life. I love costumes. They're probably my favorite things! Anyone know where I can get fake weapons? I need them for my costume this year, but I think most toy stores don't sell them anymore because they're controversial.

Hmmm, Do you have a Great American Toy Company where you live? It has EVERYTHING!

No, unfortunately I don't...The only toy store around here is Toys-R-Us. I guess I can try them.

You can always buy stuff online, if you have enough time. You can find anything on the internet! :p

I'm going to be Luna Lovegood for Halloween. But it will invlove a bit of work. I'm going to knit my Hogwarts uniform vest and I still haven't got the yarn yet! :-s I hope I can knit it fast enough.

I think I might be Rebecca de Winter or maybe a character from the LOTR books just to spite my friends. They say I'm WAYYYY too obssessed with it soooo idk. And since my favorite character is Aragorn i might spite them even more by dressing up as him! haha I'll just have to get a wig or something and a little beard. Lol or even better i should just be Frodo one year and get a curly haired wig and borrow one of my mom's less expensive rings and carry it around my neck. That would be fun.

a short green formal-like dress that's flowey and fake tree branches and leaves in the hair? That's an idea. Or a brown flowey dress could work with brown ballet shoes.

Hmm...

psst...it's spelled Naiad...[/spelling bee preparation]

But yeah, flowery colored dresses with maybe a few leaves hot glued on...

I changed my plans. I'm going to be a detective, with a evidence (candy) bag.

Neat idea NW! :) Love the "evidence"(candy)bag. ;)

A costume party sounds SOOO fun, but my family dosen't do anything on halloween, so. Maybe we can have one with just our family.... :)

My bro and I are planning on making Regency costumes fairly soon.

Same here. My church just holds something called "Nut Night." Basically a family- friendly, non- scary carnival. With candy!!!

Last year I wore a matching retro-ish dress with my sister. ;;) pretty cute.

I really want to be Hermione Granger for halloween but idk if I can get my costume on time...... :( I'll try though! I have brown wavy hair like hers! :) So I think that'd be a good costume for me this year! :D

Next year i'll try to sew a costume and be Susan from PC next year. :D
