The Tigers are up 3 game to none in the ALCS. The Yankees could come back, but they certainly have their work cut out for them.

I'm watching the Cards/Giants game now, SnowAngel (or at least it's on in the background), and the Cards are ahead. But it sounds like there is some pretty significant weather (heavy rain or hail) soon to hit St Louis.

I am hoping and praying for there NOT to be a Tigers-Cards World. I'm a Brewer's fan so it's hard for me to decide which I like less. I'm actually the sports writer for our student newspaper, so I'll need to write on it no matter what the result.

Well, we know the Tigers are in. The Cards are one win away from being in as well.

It turns out we won't see that flyover World Series after all. Congrats to the Giants, who came back from that 3 games to 1 deficit to earn home field advantage in the Series, which begins this coming Wednesday.

They eliminated the Dodgers at the end of the season, beating them out for that final wild card spot.

The Giants have taken a 3 games to none lead over the Tigers, including 2 straight 2-0 shutouts with tonight's win in the Motor City. They've won 6 straight post-season games and are one win from their 2nd World Series championship in the last 3 years - but they'll have to do it in Detroit.

I know that as a Packer fan I'm a little biased, but the Bears did not deserve to win that game. But then again, maybe the Panthers didn't either. Just an ugly offensive game for both teams.

Ok, it's OPENING DAY in the world of MLB! The Astros get the spotlight, facing the hated Rangers in the only game tonight. Their new jerseys look great, navy, orange, and white home unis tonight. And the game isn't going poorly either So far it's 7-2 Astros, top of the 7th. If we can hold on, this'll be one huge win! So meany reasons... just go Stros!

Ah yes, the return of the 'boys of summer.' Nothing quite like outdoor baseball in the spring.

Except yesterday's season opener for the Twins (in Minneapolis) was among the coldest on record, with wind chills in the 20s. Alas, the Tigers beat the Twins.

But I'm looking forward to attending a few games at Target Field this summer.

I believe that Australian television focuses way too much on sport. Half the news segment is dedicated to sport half the time. I am sure there are more important things to talk about than some guys getting sacked from the cricket team for not doing homework. HaI hate AFL I just don't understand the appeal ha.

Can I poke my nose about the English Barclays Premier League to say COME ON ARSENAL!!
