I am Mod 5, and I am a member of Rent-a-Mod Incorporated. Me and my fellow substitute moderators were invited to this forum by Tirian so that your current moderators could have a break. We hear that your mods are absolutely wonderful, but running a large forum like this can certainly get to their nerves! Many of them are just plain bonkers after putting up with this place for so long, and were in need of an Extreme Vacation!

Don't worry, you'll get your regular moderators back, we're just filling in for them while they enjoy their all expenses paid trip to Barbados. As soon as they get back, you guys will have your old mods back.

Tirian has sent us file upon file concerning your rules here, as well as the way that he would like the forum to be run, but he didn't mention anything about its members. So that's why we got permission to open this thread. We'd like to get to know you (and vice versa!) So here's how it works, you guys ask as many questions as you like, and we, as your new moderators, will do our best to answer them (keeping in mind, of course, that we are very busy as moderators, and don't always have time to answer hundreds of meaningless questions.)

Hello Mod number 5! I'm not sure what questions to ask (mainly because I've never seen this done before, and I'm the first one to post. But I'll go ahead and take the jump)

Where are our old moderators vacationing?
Where do the new mods come from?
How did Tirian find you?
Can we ask questions to specific mods? Or only all mods in general?
What's the best April fools Joke you've ever played?
Mod Number 5, do you like birds?
Mod 5, do you like obscure vocabulary words?
Have you met any of the old mods?
What mods would you say are the most distressed?

Well, she got most of them right anyway. Except I haven't met any of the old mods.

So, Narniaweb members, what's the best topic or whatever you call them around here. They put me in...games and something and prayer requests. They sound boring to me. Whatever.

To my fellow MODs... I don't like the precedent we are setting here. Should we really be answering their questions? Shouldn't WE be the ones questioning THEM?

I see things have been allowed to run down here very badly, very badly indeed. Members questioning MODs?! For shame!

09, you just don't get it. And you think you are so special. I am the special mod here. Tirian saved the best for last. And that's me. And I do agree with 8 and 20; the old mods were very lax. Things will become more strict! And I am in charge of the new mods!

Tiana! What insolence! As if you owned the moderators! As if you kept them in your pockets to produce them at will! Good gracious! That is in fact called slavery, and is typically frowned upon in modern culture!

As for our real jobs. . . substitituting for mods is our real job. I get paid 400,000 dollars per year to do this! I also had to get a masters degree in communications!

No need to worry! TheLoneRanger is here! I shall keep these pesky rent-a-mods on the job! Your forum will continue to operate as normal. I am the one Tirian appointed to ride herd on these new moderators until your regular moderators return. However, I spend much of my time patrolling against spammers so I will have to rely on my fellow members to keep an eye on these temps!

If you were hit by one of my silver bullets, you would have been sitting upon the roof of the tent. I am a crack shot and only hit what I aim at. I was not aiming at you.

Georgiefan, to answer your question, I went through a long and arduous interview process. Simply exhausting, it was. But it was worth it in the end. I have the satisfaction of giving your poor overworked, underpaid mods a break, and it gives me such a good feeling to help them. And that's why we do good works, right? So we can feel good about ourselves?

(Well, that and maybe my salary of $400,000 per year. But we don't need to go there )

Silver bullets? The new mods are werewolves? O_o

. . . Er. Welcome to NarniaWeb. It's nice to meet you good folks from Rent-A-Mod! Our normal mods are impossibly awesome, so you have big shoes (very epic boots, to be specific) to fill, but I'm sure if you use the cookie reward system and it's not a full moon, we'll all get along just fine.

Anybody want a wolfsbane garland to wear?
