Zeeland, Netherlands. Large parts of this south-western area of Netherlands are below sea level, and was flooded in 1953.

Houtman Abrolhos, a chain of about 122 islands off the coast of Western Australia, where the Dutch ship, Batavia was sunk, thus triggering the first (failed) European settlement in Australia.
