Past the Maps of Narnia

Postby narnialuver » Oct 08, 2012 9:45 am

If this does not belong tell me, I will be glad to lock.

I was looking at my Narnia map this morning and thought:

what is passed the far west

Where is Telmar?

Are there other planets. Like there are in our universe?

What do you think?

while I was researching I found this Narnia map I've never seen, and is very detailed: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/51/Narnian.world.map.jpg

I think that past Telmar in the west there are probably mountains and then the edge of the world. Only I don't think that anyone travelling there would just fall of the edge due to the gravitational force coming from the entire length of the Narnian world since it is flat.

I think there are other planets, didn't Dr. Cornelius mention something about them?

That is a nice map, hmm the lettering and the mountain ranges look very similar to the Middle Earth maps.

There is a sea to the West of Telmar. In The Last Battle, when all the creatures come running towards the stable door at the end of the world, Lewis said that there were strange looking creatures from the unknown western islands.

I can only assume that this means that there is a sea to the west of Telmar, and islands therein.

Thank you very much for sharing that map! I think I have some copies of books that show part of that map, but only the parts concerned with the story. It was really cool to see the Great Waterfall, Chippingford, and Aslan's Garden.

This map is really well done. It shows the eastern islands and where they are.

Just remembered it when reading through this thread, and thought I'd share it ;))
