This song reminds me both of the creation of Narnia and its restoration:
Artist: Steven Curtis Chapman
Title: All Things New
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7k2hzktKhc
Lyrics:
You spoke and made the sunrise, to light up the very first day
You breathed across the water, and started the very first wave
It was You
You intoduced Your glory, to every living creature on earth
And they started singing, the first song to ever be heard
They sang for You

You make all things new
You make all things new

Then the world was broken, fallen and battered and scarred
You took the hopeless, the life, wasted, ruined and marred
And made it new

You make all things new
You make all things new
You redeem and You transform
You renew and You restore
You make all things new
You make all things new
And forever we will watch and worship You

You turn winter into spring
You take every living thing
And You breathe Your breath of life into it over and over again

You made the sunrise, day after day after day
But there's a morning coming, when old things will all pass away
And everyone will see

You make all things new
You make all things new
Come redeem and come transform
Come renew and come restore
You make all things new
You make all things new
And forever we will watch and worship You

Now and forever You are making all things new
You're making all things new

Hallelujah...

This reminds me of the scene on Aslan's Mountain, where Jill wants to drink from the stream. It even has the perfect title! :)

"Lion", by Rebecca St. James

Mysterious
That's what I call you
I'm curious
About you
I'm scared and I'm not sure
That you are safe
But your eyes seem to say
That you are good

This is not a dream that I'm living
This is just a world of your own
You took me from all that I knew
Showed me how it feels to hope
With you with me, facing tomorrow
Together, I can learn to fly
Feels like I'm living in the Lion's mouth
But the Lion is an angel

Wise eyes
You see the core of me
Your gentleness
Melts me
And now I know
That words cannot describe
The power that I feel
When I'm with you

This is not a dream that I'm living
This is just a world of your own
You took me from all that I knew
Showed me how it feels to hope
With you with me, facing tomorrow
Together, I can learn to fly
Feels like I'm living in the Lion's mouth
But the Lion is

Peace and power
Love forever
Who am I to
Stand before you?
I am speechless
But in my weakness
You are here and
All is well

You took me from all that I knew
Showed me how it feels to hope
With you with me, facing tomorrow
Together, I can learn to fly
Feels like I'm living in the Lion's mouth
But the Lion is

This is not a dream that I'm living
This is just a world of your own
You took me from all that I knew
Showed me how it feels to hope
With you with me, facing tomorrow
Together, I can learn to fly
Feels like I'm living in the Lion's mouth
But the Lion is an angel
Is an angel

This song really reminds me of the struggles of the children throughout the series(Pevensies escaping the war, Jill and Eustace being bullied, Digory's mother dying, even Shasta and Aravis, though they aren't Narnian), and how Aslan died for them through blood and pain. The last stanza reminds me of the End of the World in VDT especially. :)

What a neat thread idea! I love finding songs that just scream "Narnia!" There are many for me, but one of my favorites is "Let it all Out" by Relient K. Every time I hear it I think of the Undragoning, especially when it gets to the chorus.

YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0En7JZ0KQc

Lyrics:

Let it all out
get it all out
rip it out remove it
don't be alarmed
when the wound begins to bleed

cause we're so scared to find out
what this life's all about
so scared we're going to lose it
not knowing all along
that's exactly what we need

and today I will trust you with the confidence
of a man who's never known defeat
but tomorrow, upon hearing what I did
I will stare at you in disbelief
oh, inconsistent me
crying out for consistency

and you said I know that this will hurt
but if I don't break your heart then things will just get worse
If the burden seems too much to bear
Remember
the end will justify the pain it took to get us there

and I'll let it be known
at times I have shown
signs of all my weakness
but somewhere in me
there is strength

and you promise me
that you believe
in time I will defeat this
cause somewhere in me
there is strength

and today I will trust you with the confidence
of a man who's never known defeat
and I'll try my best to just forget
that that man isn't me

reach out to me
make my heart brand new
every beat will be for you
for you

and I know you know
you touched my life
when you touched my heavy heart and made it light

Oh! Fireflies by Owl City! How could I forget! It always made me think of Narnia and dancing and everything innocent and dreamy. It also reminded me of fairies, but it definitely could go for dryads.

Iridescent by Linkin Park. Everytime I listen to it I think of all the hardship and sadness of the Pevensies. But in the end, they win :D Happiness, freedom and safety.

"Lucy" by Skillet. The first time I heard that song on the radio, I thought "did they write that with Narnia in mind?" I don't think they did, but I can always picture Susan back in England singing it to Lucy in New Narnia. So sad.

"Invisible" by Disciple
this song makes me think of when Lucy isn't content with being herself in Dawn Treader and then when Aslan tells her not to doubt her value :)

youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjlOfPRgfBI

lyrics:

"Invisible"

[Verse 1]
You've got my attention
There's no need to hurt your self this way
You think no one will notice you're feeling
When you cry yourself to sleep

You feel stuck on the outside looking inside
Wishing this life wasn't your life
And you think you're damaged way beyond repair
Well you're not so far that I can't get to where you are

[Chorus]
You wish you were someone else
Every night you fall to pieces
Knowing you can't save yourself
I can see you, I can hear you
There's a place where the broken go
There's a room full of second chances
You're not stranded on your own
You're not invisible

[Verse 2]
I'm ready to listen
There's no need to hold it all inside
The smallest whisper
I hear it when your strength has all but died

I need you to believe me, can you trust me
That what you see, is not what I see
The reflection in the mirror's telling lies
Cause nothing you have done could change how much I love you

[Bridge]
You're not invisible
I can see you as you're falling on your knees
You're not invisible to Me

a song that always reminds me of Narnia is Dawn Over a New World by DragonForce. I was trying to decide which of the books it reminded me most of, but then I decided that it just fit the entire series, a song for all seven books :) what do you think?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2nh2hEmCz4

lyrics:
In the darkness of the night in the shadows of the dawn
It's turning black no looking back the sands of time are sown
When the day will slowly end and the sun has turned to grey
Will we feel the power of freedom with the dawn of a new day?

Over mountains paved with gold and through the valleys of the slain
Our quest will lead us onwards to the journey of the brave
When the time has come to stand for the power we believe
We will ring the sound of victory for one and all to see

Sometimes in your darkest dreams you will feel the haunting pain
Silent tears of your hidden fears come to haunt you once again
Fight on for the memories of the everlasting dream
Their in the silent lands on wings of glory free
We can go on forever with the darkness so far away
And the warriors who live forever fight on to the end

Across the highest mountains and through the endless seas
Our journey ever onwards fight until we all be free
Through the darkness shining the never ending light
On through the days of glory rise towards the fight

And one day we will find a way toward this distant golden age
The cries of war will sound the day
We stand before the dawn of a new world

On through the raging thunder across the seven seas
Cold winter skies are falling on the battles we have seen

We can go on forever with the darkness so far away
And the warriors who live forever fight on to the end

Across the highest mountains and through the endless seas...

I like the song Don't Wake Me by Skillet, it reminds me of Narnia and of Lucy. The scene in the Dawn Treader (movie) where Lucy has her nightmare and Aslan appears in the mirror, I think this really fits that. (BTW I am new here and just figured this was as good a place as any to start posting... :) )

Here are the lyrics...

I went to bed I was thinking about You
It ain't the same since I'm living without You
All the memories are getting colder
All the things that I wanna do over

I went to bed I was thinking about You
I wanna talk and laugh like we used to
When I see You in my dreams at night
It's so real but it's in my mind

And now I guess this is as good as it gets

Don't wake me 'cause I don't wanna leave this dream
Don't wake me 'cause I never seem to stay asleep enough
When it's you I'm dreaming of I don't wanna wake up

I went to bed I was thinking about You
And how it felt when I finally found You
It's like a movie playing over in my head
Don't wanna look 'cause I know how it ends

All the words that I said that I wouldn't say
All the promises I made that I wouldn't break
It's last call, last song, last dance 'cause
I can't get you back, can't get a second chance

And now I guess this is as good as it gets

Don't wake me 'cause I don't wanna leave this dream
Don't wake me 'cause I never seem to stay asleep enough
When it's you I'm dreaming of I don't wanna wake up

Don't wake me we're together just You and me
Don't wake me 'cause we're happy like we used to be
I know I've gotta let You go but I don't wanna be alone

These dreams of You keep on growing stronger
It ain't a lot but it's all I have
Nothing to do but keep sleeping longer
Don't wanna stop 'cause I want You back

Don't wake me 'cause I don't wanna leave this dream
Don't wake me 'cause I never seem to stay asleep enough
When it's you I'm dreaming of I don't wanna wake up

Don't wake me we're together just You and me
Don't wake me 'cause we're happy like we used to be
I know I've gotta let You go but I don't wanna be alone

I went to bed I was thinking about You
'Cause I don't wanna leave this dream
It ain't the same since I'm living without You
'Cause I never seem to stay asleep

I know I've gotta let You go but I don't wanna wake up

*sigh* I think I've listened to that a song a thousand times and I still love it. :D

Aside from "Wunderkind", the song that Alanis Morrisette specifically wrote for The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, "Keep Holding On" by Avril Lavigne (which was featured in the film version of Eragon) fits the themes of the Narnia books and movies pretty well, especially since it can be applied to any of the characters during the most despairing parts of their respective journeys.

"Stand" by Rascal Flatts also can be applied to certain characters in the Chronicles, especially, I think, Caspian and Digory.

A song called "I Wont Stand Alone" by Johnny Pacar. It's a very short song that i found not too long ago.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWArQT2nvPk

It's just another morning glory
or one more twisted side of this wilde ride
another chapter in this story
but I can't hide the way I feel inside
because i'm a stranger in a strange land
and i'm a million miles from my home
if I got to take my last stand I won't stand alone
I won't stand alone
I won't stand alone
I won't stand alone
I won't stand alone
because i'm a stranger in a strange land
and i'm a million miles from my home
if I got to take my last stand I won't stand alone
I won't stand alone
I won't stand alone
I won't stand alone
I won't stand alone

"Exit Calypsan (Only In My Dreams)" by Falling Up

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZIBsm6_nvg

lyrics:

[verse 1]
This white blows, so softly
The movement still is in my mind
This flag from in Reedsport
Will start to catch beneath the wind
Catch beneath the wind

[chorus]
It's only in your dreams
It's only in your dreams
So exit the fall, and now it's over
It's only in your dreams

[verse 2]
This flight comes, it's nameless
The dark is calling out my name
Escape with, no traces
The movement burns inside my veins
Burns inside my veins

[chorus]
It's only in your dreams
It's only in your dreams
So exit the fall, and now it's over
It's only in your dreams

[bridge]
By now this tide is here
I thought I made it clear
This is the threat
This is the fall

[chorus 1]
Dreams
It's only in your dreams
So exit the fall, and now it's over
It's only in your dreams

[bridge 2]
And now it's over

This is a song that reminds me of The Last Battle, especially when Tirian challenges the Ape on that last night.
Artist: Skillet.
Title: Hero
link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuyupBmHfVQ
lyrics:
I'm just a step away
I'm just a breath away
Losing my faith today
Falling off the edge today

I am just a man
Not superhuman
I'm not superhuman
Someone save me from the hate

It's just another war
Just another family torn
Falling from my faith today
Just a step from the edge
Just another day in the world we live

I need a hero to save me now
I need a hero, save me now
I need a hero to save my life
A hero will save me just in time

I've gotta fight today
To live another day
Speaking my mind today
My voice will be heard today

I've gotta make a stand
But I am just a man
I'm not superhuman
My voice will be heard today

It's just another war
Just another family torn
My voice will be heard today
It's just another kill
The countdown begins to destroy ourselves

I need a hero to save me now
I need a hero, save me now
I need a hero to save my life
A hero will save me just in time
[From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/s/skillet-l ... yrics.html]

I need a hero to save my life
I need a hero, just in time
Save me just in time
Save me just in time

Who's gonna fight for what's right?
Who's gonna help us survive?
We're in the fight of our lives
And we're not ready to die

Who's gonna fight for the weak?
Who's gonna make 'em believe?
I've got a hero, I've got a hero
Living in me

I'm gonna fight for what's right
Today I'm speaking my mind
And if it kills me tonight
I will be ready to die

A hero's not afraid to give his life
A hero's gonna save me just in time

I need a hero to save me now
I need a hero, save me now
I need a hero to save my life
A hero will save me just in time

(I need a hero)
Who's gonna fight for what's right?
Who's gonna help us survive?

(I need a hero)
Who's gonna fight for the weak?
Who's gonna make 'em believe?
I've got a hero

I need a hero
A hero's gonna save me just in time

And here's another one that reminds me of Puddleglum's great speech in The Silver Chair, especially the chorus:
Artist: Mercyme
Title: Crazy
link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3muAwZQCW4
lyrics:
Why I would I spend my life longing for the day that it would end..
Why would I spend my time pointing to another man..
Isn't that crazy

How can I find hope in dying, with promises unseen..
How can I learn your way is better
In everything I'm taught to be..
Isn't that crazy

I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..
But to a God who's calling out to me..
And even though the world may think
I'm losing touch with reality
It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity

And if I boast let me boast
Of filthy rags made clean
And if I glory let me glory
In my Savior's suffering
Isn't that crazy

And as I live this daily life
I trust you for everything
And I will only take a step
When I feel You leading me
Isn't that crazy

[ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/crazy-lyrics-mercy-me.html ]

I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..
But to a God who is calling out to me..
And even though the world my think
I'm losing touch with reality
It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity

Call me crazy
You can call me crazy
Call me crazy

I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..
But to a God who is calling out to me..
And even though the world may think that
I'm losing touch with reality
It would be crazy, It would be crazy, It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity

Isn't That crazy..
Call me crazy
You can call me crazy
Call me crazy

I love that song Lady Haleth! :D

And here's another song I found that kinda reminds me of Narnia...its called Through My Own Eyes by Aaron Carter and Kayla Hinkle

Here's the lyrics...

Give me a world that's equal on all sides
Let freedom flow as constant as the tides
I pray with each sunset, don't forget to rise
(Don't forget to rise)
I live without regret
For ordinary lives

I'm lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
I'm looking at life (looking at life)
Through my own eyes

I see a land with liberty for all
Yet still I know the truth will rise and fall
(Oooh yeah-yeh)
That's just the way it goes
A word now to the wise
The world was made to change
Each day is a surprise

Lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
Looking at life (looking at life)
Through my own eyes

And I know when you're looking for the truth
(Mmmhmm)
If you go and read between the lines
You'll discover how and why

I'm lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
I'm looking at life (looking at life)
Through my own eyes

...well there it is, if you want to look it up, try google and/or youtube because its hard to find. :p
