For all the well written reasons above I think it has got to be Shift.

I picked "other," because I have a kind of weird vote.

The Dark Island.

It always really creeped me out, and the way Lord Rhoop talked about it as though it had a mind of its own (he said something like, 'I was a fool to think they'd let me out') just added to the creepiness. Of course, he was half-crazed, so you could just pass that off as nonsense. But it's also true that the island wouldn't let them out until Aslan intervened.

True. That always creeped me out. I've heard that called something like 'genus loci'--a place with a mind.

Tarkheena, you bring up an odd point....I had not considered that before. Interesting observation!

I was even more frightened by Jadis after reading MN. I like how she was devlopped in the story. I wish we knew more about her and her life in Charn.

Mine is Rabadash, a lot more is shown of him than a lot of the other villains and he is extremely interesting.

^^ I love Jadis the White Witch as the Villain in Narnia, maybe in the entire Chronicles of Narnia. And I love it when she killed Aslan in the stone table and saying that they will going to take Narnia...Pretty nice..:D

Well, I have no particular favorite bad guy (or gal), but if I had to choose one to go up against, I suppose it would be Maugrim. He's a nasty piece of work, but he's not magic, and he's rather predictable. Plus, he'd make a nice coat... =))

I voted for Jadis because the others hardly do as much 'evil' as her (in my opinion). I do think that all of these 'villains' share something in common, which is their selfishness, their cruellness and their inability to see past their own fat noses. But Jadis takes the cake for me in supreme evil ^^ I was quite horrified when I read LWW when I was six :P

My choice has to be the lady of the Green Kirtle she is my very favourite type of villain, the ones who are beautiful and charming and then turn nasty. The last two books of the series are my favourite but the lady of the Green Kirtle is a much sutler than the evil Shift.

The Lady of the Green Kirtle. She's so different from everyone else. And you really don't see her as bad at first. She seems sweet and innocent, but when you look deeper you see her for what she truly is: evil.

Second favorite would be Rabadash, just because he's so funny to read about. =))

I voted for the Lady of the Green Kirtle. She's just so good at being bad. Jadis came in as a close second, though!

My choice is Jadis! She is the ultimate baddie to me. She's so powerhungry and is just terrible!

I voted Ginger the Cat. Why? Well...he's a *cat*. One of the reasons he seems so evil is because he's a simply a cat. How can something so small and innocent help bring down Narnia? The thought is terrifying, honestly. He uses others, but no one suspects he would do such a thing because...he's a *cat*.

In second comes Lady of the Green Kirtle. She's really terrifying and scary, but Ginger wins out for some reason. ;)

Jadis - she has the most back-story. We know that she destroyed Carn and she has tried to take-over Earth and Narnia as well. Her desire for domination and her vanity make her an excellent villain.
