There never was a gag reel on any of the discs, we just assumed that it would be on there as there has been talk about one called "Seasick Gag Reel". Unfortunately this was not the case.

Am so disappointed by the lack of the kids' commentary and the gag reel.

I agree about that. I really wanted to hear their commentaries. I don't like director's or producer's etc. commantaries much because they don't seem so "fun" like the cast's commantaries.

I saw the DVD yesterday. Unfortunately, only the Single Disc version is out so I don't when I'll buy it. I'll buy it sooner or later but I don't know when.

@Griffle: I searched AC and found the "seasick gag reel" = Family Christian Stores. Check out the links below. So is it there or not? What do official DVD releases say? :-\

I just had a wild thought. What if Fox forgot to put the gag reel on all of the sets and had to send replacement discs? :D Or perhaps the deleted scenes are the seasick gag reel. /:)

That would really be something, and it's not unheard of. (in the US at least) Wish this was the case with the Swedish release of Warner's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (Missing a lot of extras found on other releases for some weird reason, Swedish Potter fans won't be happy come Wednesday).

Anyway, just got the JB HI-FI exclusive tin edition. It's absolutely gorgeous! It works fine on region 2 DVD players and on region B Blu-ray players. Has a bunch of subtitle tracks, including Swedish actually, not that I need it, but it's pretty cool being that it's an Australian set.

I started a thread in the Rumors section about the seasick gag reel. No one replied, even though 25 viewed the topic. Guess what? Family Christian Stores replied to us (AC) today on Twitter about this gag reel. They said the actors didn't approve it!

This means (1) the extra was real, not a fantasy or mistake; (2) it's not on any DVD or Blu-Ray copy so there's no point in anyone looking for it.

I got VDT Blu-ray from US yesterday.
I like all three Blu-ray exclusive extras! (The other extras, so-so.)

By the way, on Griffle's image gallery, I saw a screenshot in Japanese.

I saw the same on my disc.
I'm wondering, is it familiar these messages in Japanese in US blu-ray disc?

I buy quite a lot of import discs from the US and this is the first time I've noticed it.

When is it released on Blu-ray in Japan? Do you think there's any chance of there being a release with an extra disc as with the 3-Disc DVD set?

I guess it will be released in summer or so, and I hope it will be with extra discs.
But there is no infomations about any disc release of VDT in Japan.
Once there was a page for a Blu-ray disc on amazon.co.jp, but it is disappeared now. :-\

[edit]
There's a rumour that it will be released on rental DVD in Japan on 6th July.
I think it will be released also on Blu-Ray/DVD on sale in the same day.
There's no info about the extras, yet.

Interesting that the 4-disc release comes with the 3D version of the film on one of the discs as none of the other releases from around the world have had it (to my knowledge). Not that I have a 3D TV or a 3D Blu-ray player for that matter, but it makes me want to get it all the same.

Do any of these releases come in steelbook cases, tins or any kind of special packaging?

I'm interested in 4-disc set, but I think I will get 2-disc set.
But to tell the truth, I'm dissapointed there are no packages of my favorite.

Some images are on amazon page, I guess it is tins.
