ElfMaidenArcheroRivendell wrote:WHAT! :(( WHY oh why!? Well, I don't mind an app. I do have an iphone. That would be cool, & I already have the kindle app, which was free minus some books. There are lots of cookbooks on kindle, both on the kindle electronic and on the ipad & iphone apps. I also have recipe apps. My favorites are the whole foods market, and the epicurious ones. I will pray that they make the app.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! You NEVER let me use your Iphone! I like the app idea because when you're cooking you don't have to be constantly keeping the page from flipping over and you don't have to carry a heavy book around because the Iphone is way lighter than a book. And it would be eco-friendly! :D

I personally prefer hard copies, but I suppose we'll have to take what we can get. Not that this poor, broke college student will be able to afford it anyway. :(

When the company reconsidered the publication, in light of all the *requests* for it, I wonder if they considered the changed atmosphere of things?

With the the 3rd movie just released, the hopes for more, a growing public awareness of all things Narnia... the market is much more ripe for the publication of such a book NOW versus 2004, when I felt I was the only one who even remembered the name of Narnia in my area.

Also, if they "over-printed" and those copies didn't sell... where are they? I'd *LOVE* to buy one - dusty and all.

My son is 6, reads at a middle school reading level, LOVES all things Narnia and is just starting to cook. Yeah, we're ready in this household for a Narnian cookbook - but we can't pay $165 for a copy! 8-}

:)

YES!!!! REPRINT THE COOKBOOK!!!!

I do not know how I was unaware of the cookbook until recently. But I want one so bad! And $100 is a little steep for my broke college student state.

Hullo! Haven't been here in like a year and I felt like that I needed to update! The signing is over and I suppose there will be no reprinting according to Mr.Gresham... :(
I recently found some used ones on amazon for $70 average.

@ wisewoman: Yes, it never does hurt to hope! You know if I had my own publishing company I'd definitely reprint it! *sigh, wishful thinking ;) *

@Reepi Sadly there is no word on any supposed app. Haven't heard anything. I wish they'd make an ebook, kindle, ibooks, or nook version!

I hope they do republish the official Narnia Cookbook, both in print form and in electronic forms. I wonder why they didn't do it back in 2005 to coincide with the movie?

At one time, I was able to borrow it from a collection. It is the best cookbook I have ever seen, even though I am not a chef so I wouldn't be the best judge in cookbooks. Each recipe begins with a recollection of the part of the Chronicles of Narnia the food was mentioned in, usually with an accompanying color picture from Pauline Baynes' original artwork. The book is further divided into sections based on food categories with delightful introductions. At the end of the book is a sample menu plan.

Another very beautiful Narnian book is The Book of Narnians, a book containing descriptions of most of the characters and PAINTINGS by Pauline Baynes. The paintings are wonderful and I hope they will be published in some format so people won't forget about them.

All in all, I'd rather see a reprint of the Narnian cookbook.
