Well today's premiere pics obviously show that Will's about as tall as Michael Apted, so it seemed, unless my eyes are deceiving me. He's definitely Skandar's height. I seriously don't believe the rumour.

I don't think it really matters that he's taller than Skandar since Ed won't be in the movie, unless there's a cameo... So seriously keep Poulter!

I would watch them no matter who they changed, it would be really dumb to miss a movie simply because the actor is different, though I wouldn't be as happy.

Ah...but the casting of the right actor for the part is most times crucial to a film's success and Will seems to be THE right actor for Eustace. :)

Isn't the point of Silver Chair that Eustace has grow since the last book?
That can mean height can't it???
And (sorry to go against any opinions :-s ) most 14-16 year olds are about 5"4 - 5"7
Georgie is (so I have read) 5"4 but she looks a little taller, or maybe is assisted by heels??

Will should and must continue you, he is an amazing actor (Watch School of Comedy, I laugh till I cry! =)) )
Also he is just amazing genrally ;;)

So, who is joining me on a "birdy" hunt (Bags Philip the horse)
Jill... ;)

If they get rid of Will Poulter, I shall cry. I'm a huge fan of his, because he's such an amazing actor, and from what I've seen and heard he's incredible in Dawn Treader. Re-casting him would be committing fanchise suicide!
Who cares what Will's height is?!

It will only help make Jill look 'small' if Eustace is tall. That way, then can cast a taller girl and she still looks small, and they don't have to pick someone based on height only. Y'know, someone like... ymwhisle

Anyway, if they make to many more changes or loose Will Poulter...well, how great could Silver Chair be? (Course it would have to be REALLY bad for me not to go see it...) But anyway, don't do it!:-o Go with the fans! They love Poulter!! (Right, guys?) :D

Just had a silly thought...Will's height (and for that matter, Jill's) won't make any difference when they're in the land of the giants. ;) :D

I don't see the problem with just making Jill and Eustace teenagers.

Yeah! I mean, most teen guys are Will's height. Aren't they supposed to be teenagers anyway? Either that or just slightly younger? It wouldn't be that much of a stretch (no pun intended).

The one and only problem I see with having them teens is they are going to try their best to squeeze some dumbe cheesy romance in there X(

There are, unfortunately, enough hints of best-friendship that can be taken as romance in the book (don't shoot me, it's there!) that I wouldn't be surprised if there was some amount of chemistry between Eustace and Jill. I'm not at all sure what I think of that.

'Cause I can't figure out if I would push it that direction if I was writing the script. Going that way would add some extra tension, but then again, there's already plenty of tension between the two.

And sadly, in America anyway, it's practically impossible for a guy and a girl to be really good friends without somebody assuming romance. 8-|
