I heard on a discussion board that the actors for the Pevensie's will be changed for the HBB and LB, is this true?

I don't see why they would have to. I mean, the actors and actresses will be the right ages by the time those movies get made.

I agree with Eustace+Jill.
I think it would be pretty pointless and we all like the original Pevensies better.
But maybe they will add makeup to them to try and merge the different actors? Just a thought.

Even if they do decide to go with different actors, we won't hear anything about it for years, until pre-production for those movies start. I don't see why they would change actors though. No reason to at this point.

I would be very disappointed if they changed the actors!

Unless the movies were severely delayed and/or the original actors aged too much, there would be absolutely no reason to. I'm pretty sure that the actors from LWW (the adult versions of the Pevensies) would be too old by the time that happened, so the next logical choice would be to use William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, and Georgie Henley. If they had to find yet another group of actors, it would be a difficult and somewhat pointless search, and also detract from the continuity. I don't like it when they change actors halfway through anything.

by the time they get around to HHB, the Pevensies are going to be grandparents! (obvious exaggeration )
I am sure they will be using the kids for it.....at least i hope so......

In that case, maybe their grandchildren will play the Pevensies!

But seriously, I don't think the rumor is true. For one thing, there would be no point in it other than creating more work for themselves, and for another thing, they don't even know if they're going to make any Narnia movies yet. So I doubt they're doing any serious planning on them yet.

I don't think it's true that they will get different actors for the Pevensies. Anna and William said in an interview after PC that they will both be back for HHB so they will probably be back for LB as well, only Anna will be very brief in LB.

If they have any sense, they probably won't (at least, we hope not). They could add a cameo of her back in England, finding out that her siblings died in the accident, and show her reaction. That's hopefully what they meant.

Me too. But still, the filmmakers might want to tie up her story and give her an ending, instead of just leaving it hanging the way Lewis did. And if they must do that, I would much rather see her enter Aslan's Country, than see her enter... *ahem* ... Jadis's Country.

Or they might just hint at it. Like, after doing what mountainfireflower suggested, they could also have her find consolation in a church, or show her thinking about something very deeply and then pick up a Bible for the first time. Something that shows she's giving God a chance.
To show the contrast, they could also show her at the beginning of LB, in England, I wouldn't mind those scenarios. I rather like them actually.

I agree 100% on that! I don't want to see Susan go either. I used to dream about her seeing her siblings again by going to Aslan's Country. But like stupid Hollywood they'll make her entrance a Suspian type thing. ugh I'll imagine Lilliandil will start crying, Rilian will have the same look on his face when he killed LOGK. Heaven shouldn't be like that which is why I don't want Susan ever near Aslan's Country. Susan really gets on my last nerves now. I don't even like her anymore!!!

I think it might cost more money to recast the Pevensies so I would assume they will use the same actors.

It would ruin the entire movie if they had Susan come back to Aslan's country!!
