Hi, I just fell in love with Susan's farewell dress! I definitely don't have time to make it right now but I was wondering for future reference: do you think there is a way to bring up the neckline while maintaining some of the dress's shape? Because I love this dress but have always passed it by because I would not wear something off of my shoulders. Any suggestions?

I made the overdress (sort of) with a plain dress underneath (for the reason you said and because I never really liked the underdress)

It really depends on the pattern you use on the under dress and sleeves. Any pattern you find will probably not be off-the-shoulder. If you look at a picture of Susan in the dress the neckline looks kind of like a pleated or folded collar. So you can use whatever width of neck you want and either sew or pin a wide collar around the edge.

Good ideas! Thank you!!
So do you think it would look good with that collar Susan has being in the same place, but with some more white/creamy (whatever it is) fabric covering my shoulders and upper chest and ending in a similarly-shaped, higher neckline? Basically it'd be like having an under-dress attached under the under-dress...lol
