As Charlotte Rose mentioned, there is already thread for discussing who should play Jill. Actually, I think there's more than one. :)

Jill Pole: Appearance, Personality, and Portrayal

Virtual Casting Review

This thread is only for what she should wear. Thanks, all! :)

Personally, I'm a fan of grey and blue for Jill Pole, but those also happen to be my favourite colors. ;)) But they seem sturdy, sensible colors, which match her personality.

Ah, sorry Meltintalle :)

I will have a look at those sites shortly...

I am still personally a fan of the Grey uniforms, I have no idea why.
Red and Brown does sound like an aweful combination, but maybe too close to what the Pevensie's were wearing at the start of PC.

(third down on the right hand side)

What about a Navy/ grey uniform, then as soon as she gets into Narnia a yellow/red dress with a green cloak?

Then at Harfang, I have the idea that she has a night dress (white and frilly) and then when she is trying to win the giants over, she wears a horrid pink dress (again frilly) that makes her look really young.
Then she runs away again.... to underworld etc

Then, if there is a coronation scene a light purple dress or something??

Mmmm yes, i hadn't though of that... Well, i like the idea of Navy/Grey as well, and agreed that the dress at harfang should be frilly :-s Really frilly!

WOW! That's a lot of links...
Yesterday I went op shopping and I found this beautiful hand-knitted cardigan so I was thinking that Jill could be teased a bit because
a: she reacts to the teasing and
b: she is generally a bit scruffy

So there could be a color scheme for the school and a jumper that everyone wears, but the rest could be anything really, it just has to fit the colour scheme of grey, navy blue, white/ light grey, or black... preferably just grey.

I know that getting an awful combination of colours like navy blue and chocolate brown.... (bad example, I'm short on time!) would show the disorganized and dysfunctional nature of the school, but having many variations of grey could show the way that the school life there drains the live out of the students.

I like that idea because it shows exactly why they would choose to bully Jill in particular, because she wears something that is not the same as everyone else...like being unfashionable or a 'boff' nowardays. (Our school is getting clip on ties for this reason because peple were bullied for not wearing the 'right' style of tie :-s )

CharlotteRose: ARE YOU KIDDING ME... bullied for not wearing the right style of tie... that is the stupidest reason to traumatize and scar a person for life by bullying them EVER!

Lucy V, I admire the amount of work you are putting into discussing this, but would you be able to just post your 5-10 favorites up so I don't have to look at so many links?

I'll look at as many as I can (for future reference could you also number them for easy reference :) )

Sorry about not replying!
I finally watched VotDT on the weekend, and I loved the costumes in that!
Eustace's reminds me of Flynn Rider's in Tangled, and I think that should be repeated in SC.
Jill's should be different than everything we have seen before.
What do people think of the school having a uniform shirt and pants for boys and shirt and dress for girls and all of them having different shoes, socks and things in varying shades of grey?
I will eventually draw a picture of costume ideas, I just have no time at the moment :)

Those links look awesome!

True Jill Pole, very true! But It happens! Many pupils at my school and others can testify to it :(

I would imagine Jill and most of the characters at the school to wear darker, more drab colors, kind of as a representation for the terrible school. When she wears the Narnian clothes it should be vivid, maybe scarlet or mossy greens. The Harfang clothes should be frilly and look uncomfortable and scratchy. (And by should, I mean in my opinion of course)

Lu_Valient, I really loved the plaid skirt. I think it is a nice idea to have Jill wear that.
