Narnia Style Day

Re: Narnia Style Day
Is it Narnia costumes or Narnia-inspired clothes?
This sounds like fun!! Can't wait to hear this year's date.

Re: Narnia Style Day
I remember reading about last year's Narnia Day - I wasn't signed up yet so I had no idea if I could participate or not, or even where to begin. Now that I'm signed up, I think this is an awesome idea and I'd love to participate.

Re: Narnia Style Day
So is there an official date or does Narnia Web just decide? Wasn't the last one in April?

Re: Narnia Style Day
Well, ladies, last year Heroine of Chivalry was coordinating Narnia Style Day, but sadly she hasn't been on NWeb for many months. So I think it's up to us to choose a day and talk about what we want to do.
I think last year we decided a weekend in April would be best for pretty much everybody (outside my family ). We ended up choosing Sunday, April 25th.
We could do the same this year, if that works for most members.
Except it would be ----> Sunday, April 24th <---- this year.
Of course, anyone (like myself!) who can't do that date can choose their own day to dress up Narnian. We're flexible!

Re: Narnia Style Day
That'd probably be the easiest way to decide. I'm all for April 25th.

Re: Narnia Style Day
I know it might be a bit of a short notice, but would anyone be interested in a "lead-up to the event" sort of thread?
I was thinking we could brainstorm not only traditional style Narnian outfits but also more modern outfits Inspired By Narnia.

Re: Narnia Style Day
Honestly I don't know what I will wear. I could sew the buttons back on the PC Lucy train station outfit and wear it out and about or something. Oh wait, it's Sunday...oh boy, can't we have Narnia Style Week? Because I don't want to wear that to church!

Re: Narnia Style Day
I've made a few signature images; they don't have a date yet because I'm not sure if we've decided what the date is? Anyway, feel free to use and include a date if you'd like.
Lucy of Narnia, I feel your pain. I've had what I think is a terrific idea, but I don't have any pieces for the outfit. Still, I think the train station outfit would be cute even if you don't want to wear it to church.

Re: Narnia Style Day
Those sigs are great Meltintalle! Thanks! I'm going to use #3 and probably make a few avis on the same concept. Regarding a special brain-storming thread, I'm not sure if we have the participation right now to need one.
Lucy of Narnia, I know what you mean. I don't particularly want to wear my costume to church, either. I may end up having an individual Narnia Style Day the following Friday, or something like that.
ATTENTION: I made a mistake above when I gave the prospective date for this year's Narnia Style Day. April 25th was a Sunday last year, this year April 24th is a Sunday. So our real date would be
Sunday, April 24th
Does that sound good to everyone? Let us know!

No problem, Adeona.
I was actually wondering if a brainstorming thread would help pull lurkers out of the woodwork, but I'm totally up for doing less.

Re: Narnia Style Day
I could wear something with a Narnia-feel to church and wear my train station outfit the rest of the day. Are we going to post pictures of our outfits?

P.S. I'm going to do a blog post on this- can I use your signature in it?

Re: Narnia Style Day
Sunday 24th is Easter Day - have I already said this? Maybe I could wear my ship outfit (baggy white piratey shirt and rust coloured sleeveless jerkin with blue trousers and boots) for some of the day? Probably not to church though. It's time I had a Narnian skirt outfit.
