Hey all. :D I'm new to the site, but I've posted already in a few other threads. So hey. Again.

William fit my image of Peter perfectly! He looked right for the part and also gave a great performance as Peter. :)

Did anybody hear that Will Moseley and several of the cast members for his new movie The Silent Mountain were struck by lightning? Thank goodness he's doing fine, as well as the rest of the cast! :-o #:-s

Wow. O.o That is incredible. I wonder what it felt like to get struck by lightning, or to what extent he was shocked. At any rate, I'm glad he's okay and that it wasn't worse.

On a different note, I had heard of his involvement in at least one film, but I didn't know what the title was. I'm looking forward to seeing how The Silent Mountain turns out. And ultimately, I am very excited as to his involvement in more films. I'd been hoping he'd star in more films in the future. :D \:D/ Go Will!

Here is a picture of him on the set of The Silent Mountain. I'm curious now as to what role he plays, and also about the plot of the movie itself. Does anyone know what the basic premise of The Silent Mountain is? I tried looking on IMDb and Wikipedia, but they weren't very helpful. ;))

Struck by lightning? Oh dear! :( Good that there was no very serious damage ...
I like his hairstyle better in these later pictures than what he had in his cameo in VDT.

He did a great job as Peter, in LWW especially. I didn't like that he had to play an arrogant snob in PC, but he played that arrogance very well!

To @MountainFireflower, I have good news for you! I co-admin at WMoseley.com and we update news regarding William's new film "The Silent Mountain". (The German title of the film is "Der stille Berg" and the film's languages are English, German, and Italian.) The film he's starring in is an Austrian-Italian production directed by Ernst Gossner. It's a love story of an Austrian man and an Italian girl set in 1915, when Italy declared war against Austria-Hungary. There was one comment from Word on the Street that the film is like Downton Abbey (of which I'm a big fan!) in terms of era and some aspects of clothing (which I totally agree with).

Here is the synopsis of the film and some news articles in English: http://www.afc.at/jart/prj3/afc/main.ja ... 7152069602

Here are links of the pictures from the set:

**William had a leg injury (and he never said anything why it happened) but according to an interview with a Tyrolean newspaper (they were shooting in South Tyrol, Italy a month ago), he wore crutches and took painkillers during breaks. Let's just hope he's healed now, and recent pictures on-set show that he's okay.

And another thing, he was again interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter regarding the lightning incident and he gave more info.**

The film's official site is here: http://www.facebook.com/DerStilleBerg

There was another film that William did last January and it's called "RUN". It's a coming-of-age crime thriller where William plays a thief named Daniel who practices parkour (a freerunning sport with lots of jumps and obstacle course) to survive while on the run with his father.

Regarding "The Selection", the pilot was not picked up by The CW. However, the network was thinking of redeveloping the pilot by recasting and reshooting. There is still no news whether William is still attached or not.

There was another project he did last April. He starred in the music video "It Was Love, Now It's War" by country singer Bonnie Paul. Just go to WMoseley.com to see more pictures and the video!

Another project for William is coming up! It's a period comedy called "Of Corset's Mine" and he will star along with Lucy Punch, Camilla Belle, Christine Baranski, and Derek Jacobi. He'll play the role of Randolph, a womanizing aristocrat forced by his sisters to cross-dress as a woman to save the family inheritance.

William gave a hint of this project last March during an interview with Superdry:

**The film is currently in pre-production and supposedly should start principal photography since May/June. The film might move to later months. William filmed "The Silent Mountain" last June 16 and will be finished by Monday (July 30).**

It's great that he has a lot of projects these days and we fans can't wait for more! According to his tweet (his Twitter account is @WILLPMO and this he has been tweeted by verified accounts. This especially holds true when news regarding the lightning incident was linked to his Twitter account), he's looking forward to debut in theater. We love surprises!

Will Moseley will always be the way I imagine Peter to be, and the reason to that is pretty simple, I didn't know hardly nothing about Narnia until I watched the 2005 movie, and naturally that was the first impression I got of Peter, that's the way he was fixed in my memory. I very much like how he played the role of Peter. I did not like that they made him a snob in Prince Caspian, but I have to admit that he played that role pretty well, but still, I wish they would have kept book Peter. I'm glad he (Will Moseley) is filming in other movies, it will be fun to seen him on screen as someone other than Peter :)

edit: I just looked at the pictures of Will, good grief, he's looks different, I didn't recognize him at first, he's so grown up :p
how terrible that he was hit by lightining, I'm glad there was no serious injury, though I can't help but wonder what it felt like

I saw William in a Country music video by Bonnie Paul and the song is called "it was love, now it's war"

I would post a video link however William does get a bit close to the girl in the video too and may be inappropriate for some. But if you want to look it up on youtube it's there.

Okay guys, the main chunk of this post is on a topic that I did a post on for last year's competition. I had thought that post was in this thread, but now I'm actually failing to find it. Anyway, I know it's somewhere, and the topic was Walden Media's character of Peter in the somewhat recent Prince Caspian movie. And even though this post will be on the same topic as my post last year, I'm hoping it will be different enough because this time, I'm going to use as many words as I can that start with the letter "P". So, here goes,

Pertaining to the person Peter Pevensie in Walden Media's moving picture Prince Caspian, I personally perceive his portrayal to be pretty poorly presented, according to the Peter in the pages of C. S. Lewis's novel. In Lewis's published work, the High King Peter Pevensie is humble, perceiving that Prince Caspian is to be put on Cair Paravel's throne, and not trying to push him out of the way. In Walden's moving picture, however, Peter is pretty much the polar opposite of this. He is presented as a person who likes to bully other people, punching them and pushing them around, always trying to put himself on top of the pile. He doesn't want to see the Prince placed on the throne, and does everything he can to prevent this. He does not act like Lewis's portayal of a proper king at all. The moving picture Prince Caspian by BBC put together years ago paints a much more realistic picture of Peter Pevensie, in terms of how the published book presents him.

Haha, awesome job, Nellie! :p I agree with that. I liked Peter in the book Prince Caspian a lot better. I just think that the Walden film adaptation added to much drama and angst to the situation that was already at hand. I was sad to see the temper he gained at the beginning. I know it's hard moving back to the world you were born in, but there's no reason to be such a bully. A proper Narnian king would never behave in such a manner.

Not to say anything bad about William, though. I liked his acting in both movies, and I liked Peter in LWW.

Will is going to be in a new show called The Royals. It looks like it's going to be a spinoff of Hamlet, and Will has the title role. :D Congrats Will! Here's the link...

This looks very interesting. I look forward to seeing it.
It has overtones of King George VI as well ('The King's Speech') - as any prince who steps up to be the heir finds.
Will has just the right look. Wishing him well!

Despite being years late to this party, I just have to throw in my two cents here and say that William Moseley, in my opinion, portrayed Peter exactly as I imagined him. I know he wasn't as close to the book version in the Prince Caspian film, but oh man, when he says "For Narnia--and for Aslan" before charging into battle in LWW, that was like the spirit of High King Peter incarnate for me.

I came across the trailers for The Silent Mountain (Der Stille Berg) on tumblr last night - I'll share the links but please be aware that this is basically a war movie, so there is violence in the clips. Also, it seems that William's character gets a little, shall we say, close, with his love interest (no nudity though).

Full-length Der Stille Berg trailer
Teaser trailer
Of course, these are in German! It's pretty neat that William speaks it well enough to play an Austrian character!
