1.) Extreme fandom is not permitted on NarniaWeb. Extreme fandom is defined as romantic attraction, and is disrespectful because it reduces the actors to objects and implies that all that matters is how they look.
Comments like, "He did a great job in the movie" and "He looks the part" are acceptable, along with the reason why you think they did great or fit the part. Examples of inappropriate comments include “He’s so hot,” “I want to marry him,” and “I want to kiss him.”
2.) Actor and character fanclubs are not allowed.
3.) Do not post or request any contact information for members of the cast, the production company, or anyone involved in the casting process. You may visit NarniaWeb's FAQ page where you can find addresses for sending fan mail.
4.) If you wish to play a part in a Narnia movie, visit the Virtual Casting Review thread. If you are under the age of 18, you must have parental permission to post a picture of yourself. Do not post any personal information, including links to your Facebook. No picture collages, please. Please do not post pictures of people you know unless you have their permission or the pictures are professional pictures that are accessible to the public.
5.) Please do not post more than 3 images or links per post. Do not post pictures over 500 pixels wide. Pictures over that size need to be linked to. When posting links to pictures, check your links after posting to make sure they work.
6.) In the past, we did not allow much discussion of the actors' roles outside the Narnia films. Here on the new forum, as long as everyone abides by forum rules, we will be broadening the scope to allow that discussion. In addition, discussion of the actors' appearances in the media are also permitted. However, since actors often take on many roles, video, pictures, and sites related to them might have content that some people might find offensive (revealing clothing, adult humor, language). When posting a link, please check its content and post a warning if its content might not be family friendly. Also, be aware that if a link doesn't have a warning it still might have questionable content.
Additionally, general NarniaWeb Forum Rules declare this concerning links:
Forum Etiquette, Rule #8 wrote:Keep in mind that all links are subject to review and possible removal if they are deemed inappropriate under NarniaWeb's family-friendly rules.
However, discussion of the actors' beliefs and private lives is considered gossip and is thus highly inappropriate here. Posts that bash an actor for something he/she says in a news article or TV appearance are disrespectful and will be removed.
It cannot be said enough: actors are real people with real feelings. Furthermore, as this is a public site, it is possible that the actors can read what you say about them. Please keep this in mind, considering how much you would like it if you found yourself being gossiped about somewhere.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the Cast and Character Discussion moderators. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.
Thanks, and happy posting!
